ONOFF is how ur hearing is after pounding one with their driver.

| Titleist drivers tend to lean more towards a meaty thud, seemingly preferred by pros and low amateurs alike. Harking back to the good old days of persimmon.
Mid to higher handicappers seem to prefer a more metallic "pow" or "twang". Gives the illusion of a real explosive launch, esp with slower swing speeds.
Makes sense to me since the harder you hit, the louder the impact.

Makes sense to me since the harder you hit, the louder the impact. To me, these days, it's all about the feel not the sound.

| I think my Dymo 2 is really loud. It did become quieter a little after I reshafted it with a grafalloy. | |

| the old callaway drivers has the tiny metal "ting" sound i like. the new callaway drivers are just plain loud, i hate it.
titleiest sounds like "piak", not and interesting sound.
TM sounds like the old callaway drivers.
I think most of the feel in the driver comes from the shaft for me. boardy shafts just feel bad. whippy shafts just make you cannot feel where the head is.

| I think we need to quantify what it means by a nice sound if we were to ever get to conclusion. If it's subjective then that is fine. As for my clubs, G20 on good contact sounds like an explosion to me.. but I prefer the sound of i15, it's explosive and less harsh (read : high frequency) | |

| To me, the best drivers must create two sounds, not one. The two sounds are:
"Oh my god!" - this sound comes from me.
"F@rk! Gimme more strokes!" - this sound comes from my playing mate(s).
