Possible to cut Driver shaft into 5w length?

Hi Folks,

Would like topic your brains to know if it is possible to cut down a driver shaft down to a 5w length? I have a speeder 7.2 TS X flex @ 45 inches and am thinking to fit it into a V steel 5w head.... any thoughts?

Of course it is possible. Go to a reputable fitter and he will get it done.

Would it change the shaft characteristics? I.e. bend characteristics, etc.

Combination of butt trimming and tipping of shaft 

Again, something a club fitter can advise depending on your requirements

Yes definitely will change characteristic.
I think it will become stiffer, and as total weight dropped, your swing weight has to be compensated in some ways.

I am also guessing the flight trajectory may be higher as kick point is brought down lower with tipping. This is just my guess. I may be wrong.
