what is a good forgiving honma iron set with graphite shaft?

hi can I just inquire what set from honma I should look at for a 16-18 hdcp? Which range and does the number of stars matter?

Depending on your budget actually.. Honma comes from 2 star all the way up to 5 stars.
Of course the 4 and 5 stars have got gold on the club heads. Not for the 2 and 3 stars.
The 7-series would be ideal. 8 series for seniors, 5 series for ladies and 6 series for lower handicappers.

I am using Honma 708 with R1 4 star shaft. Good or bad is very personal but I love the feel. You can pick up some good deal in Tokyo. I bought 3 set in Japan. All 4 star at USD1,000 each. Sold 1 set to a nice uncle at Sembawang range. Kept a set in China and 1 set in sg.

Go for 7 series. Mighty irons.
