Do titanium irons and hybrids give longer distance? I'm thinking because the face thickness is thicker than the thin face on modern drivers, titanium face in irons and hybrids doesn't give the extra ball speed.  Any expert here on this matter?

I have a Romaro hybrid - titanium head
And it is longer for me compared to a stronger lofted hybrid of another brand (non titanium)
Such that it messes up my yardage between clubs

But having said that, it's not supposed to be so
Titanium is lighter (stronger?) than steel so it allows club makers to make a bigger (up to 460cc) driver for max forgiveness

Will titanium hit longer than steel head?
There are many such discussions on the Internet
You wanna hit longer irons, get stronger lofted irons

This probably has something to do with the COR.

I think it affects the feel more than distance ...

The loft, thickness of clubhead face, position of CG, COR, shaft flex, etc. will affect the distance given the same swing speed ...

according to some research and the details r boring, so just summarise.

of all the energy lost in the impact , only about 1% is absorbed by the club head n 99% in the ball n no matter how hard the club face , there is still energy lost.
so I reckon that its better to invest in better golf balls than harder material on club head.
