| I am quite regularly play there after their renovations.
Fairway quite narrow. Easily get penalty for lost ball. Hole 1-9 still not so bad. Fairway straight to green. The tee off is either is hitting from downhill or u have tee off uphill. Unlike MBGC. 1st Par 5, have to careful. Have to aim the bridge direction. If u not accurate enough might end up water.
Hole 10-18 most of the hole is dog leg Hole 12 or hole 14... (Couldn't remember) Par 4. If u are confident in your driver able to drive
200m+, you might want to take up.the challenge by tee over the pond straight to the green. Once u are over the pond should be easily get regulations on green.
Just a brief sharing for the few interesting holes. Hope it help u.
Green is pretty fast and tricky. Need to read carefully. Uneven with up and down. Within 1m, may missed...

Green is pretty fast and tricky. Need to read carefully. Uneven with up and down. Within 1m, may missed... Thanks for the great review. It was really helpful for my game. Your description for Holes 1-9 is spot on. Unfortunately your tip on playing Hole 3 (the 1st Par 5) did not help - sort of blow up on that hole (created 2 splashes..). Holes 10-18 will really benefit from local knowledge as it will help you to place your balls for the next shot. Hole 13 is where if you are confident of driving 200m++, you have a chance for eagle. Overall, a nice course with good description of each hole at the tee off area, allowing you to plan your shots. Thanks again.

| Yeah, SCC is a great golf course. Too bad its membership only opens to SAF regular.
I remember that I was offered $2.7k for a life membership b4 their renovation, n I rejected bcos I didn't started my golf addiction yet. Now I badly regretted the decision. It is now $8k membership fees for SAF serviceman above the age of 35yrs old.
You can still play there at reasonable price if you have Hometeam NS golflink membership ($55 / $85).

Thanks again. Yeah, if you can drive excess of 220m; go straight for the green (1 onz) which lies just beyond a long huge water hazard.

| Bro WY, hole 13 got to be really careful... Even if u drive to the Bridge direction... If u are driving far enough.. might over shot end up in water too... I used to contribute my balls there... Haha..
For hole13, is to test your driver confidence... If u get over the water then u got make your distance able to cover... Another hole that eat my ball..
Bro Willy, I think last they got open for membership recruitment leh... But if I am not wrong is 5k entrance fees...
Too bad I din serve NS... else I would have take up the offer...but now using HometeamNS also not so bad...

| Bro sim.t.lim, I think u are referring to Hole 3.. Hole 13 is the short par 4.
Anyway, SCC membership is not open to public yet, currently it's for SAF regulars only...
Bro HKH, i will try to write a review soon..

| Found a SCC score card in my standbag from my last game there. It will be easier to write with some reference to refresh your memory. Have played here at least 5 times n I still hate hole4 as you seriously can't see where u tee off to as it flies over a small hill. Unless you can drive over 240m n land your shot just over the tip of the water hazard. While at hole15 (par 3) is my fav as I got my first birdie on this very hole while on my virgin full 18hole game. I have gotten another one on my 3rd game there few months back. | |

| This is golf wat.. U think you will miss the bunker, ur balls will get in. U think you will carry over the water, ur balls will go to the water. If u don loose ball, what the purpose they design the course with hazard?? Then no more penalty liao... | |

| I think Sembawang GC can 1 on several par 4's for long hitters off the white tees. Played a charity event there last week. just for the fun of it.. tried going for the green w driver off the white tees on hole 13. ended up about 12' to a back pin but missed my eagle putt. keke Although original thread was started 3 yrs ago. Slinger has a very good point. Not all holes require driver off the tee. course management is very important. Think ahead. Try to "lay up" to a comfortable distance for you approach shots. I personally prefer to leave about 90-100m for my approach shots. therefore... i minus off 100m from the hole.. and if its anything more than 230m left or more.. then i'll use driver. I'll also tee off w 3w on most par 5's unless there's a chance for 2 on. eg.. if i drive 240-250m with driver.. and 220m with my 3w. If the hole is about 290-320.. i'll tee off with a 3w.. leaving myself with 90-110m.. easy wedge or 9i max. leaves less room for errors. If i use driver and crush it.. i'd prob be left with an awkward 50-70m pitch shot. easier for me to put it close w a full swing PW from 100m then a controlled half or 3/4 wedge shot to 60-70m. Check out the link below for hole by hole course layout. cheers http://www.sembawanggolf.org.sg/#/golfing/ | |

Maybe U lucky to play all courses, and have bought all the tech toys. every other golfer got one ??? If u open your eyes bigger u will see the score card posted by willytan has the distance to hazards from various tee box. Get your facts right before u complain. Playing in sembawang as guest is only $90. One of the cheapest in Singapore with a new course and u still complain about the $ they charged and no service?
