| Hi all Not sure if golf related but recently (past 1-2 months) I've been experiencing lower back pain which strangely enough, is only obvious after a few hours of sleeping. I feel it most upon waking up in the morning, some days quite bad till it wakes me up at night to move and turn to reduce the discomfort. Funny thing is, after waking up and walking a little, the pain completely goes away and it doesn't come back until the next morning (or morning after)! Sometimes it skips days, sometimes its consecutive days. Seem to be worse after a golfing day or a day at the range. Anyone else get this, or maybe I'm just getting old! | |

Anyone else get this, or maybe I'm just getting old! I had the same problem too especially after golf, but I took up swimming everyday, and the pain goes away.

So you would also get back pain upon waking that went away after you walked around? I thought it was a weird symptom Maybe time to do more back exercises in the gym

Anyone else get this, or maybe I'm just getting old! Its the signs of: 1. Getting old 2. Not exercising / stretching regularly 3. unbalanced diet better stretch and warm up properly before golfing. Will be injured easily

| I strongly suggest putting on a quality back brace when you golf or range. Medi is a good brand. Try it. | |

| Same advice as golf swing, go see a professional. I have slipped disc and only found out after mri scan but not before I spent countless hours in acupuncture treatment and massage sessions. Things are better now with physiotherapy, exercises and going for regular chiropractic treatments. | |

Maybe time to do more back exercises in the gym I got back pain after golf, and can hardly bend my fingers the next morning. Swimming did help me to strengthen my muscles and got rid of joint pains too. It works for me, it should work for you too.

| Happened to ask my doc during my yearly checkup and he said likely muscular in nature. I guess I need to do more back exercises and stretch more before I start playing. | |
