| I'm pretty impressed with the Graman shafts -- I tried the G5, G5 and G8, and I have to admit that they are extremely stable. Best thing is, Eric is a real master at setting them up well for your driver head | |

| this is such an old thread and i am surprise that its still been read.
the 5 series Graman is a very special animal.
when cut to length for a 45 inch driver, it is about 63g (for R flex) and 65g (for S flex) and 67g (forX flex) the torque is low at 2.5 to 3 degrees but it does not feel dead. Graman shafts are made in Korea (south that is). its mid kick and when paired with the right head, it produce some pretty penetrating ball flight.
based on the specs of the shaft, one will find that if promotes lower spin and hence the term lower ball flight. like i have said, it will work wonder when fitted with the right head and loft.

DGman Thanks DGman for the informative insights. Would you say that the 5 series is compatible with high launch heads like TM Superfast 1 and Titleist 910D2 to produce low spin drives? Thanks!

| I decided to reuse this old thread rather than starting a new once since it's on point.
anyway, about 2 months ago, i got my titleist 909D3 head fitted by DGman with the Graman ultimate BF #5 series in X flex. I must say that this shaft is one of the smoothest and most powerful i've tried to date. And with its pricing, i'd say it's really unbeatable.
My first trip on the course helped me find 10/14 fairways. After 1 month of playing with it, my drives are a lot more consistent and predictable, although there was no perceptible increase in distance.
After 2 months, my drives are now not only more consistent, but they also travel about 10-15m further. The pairing with the 909D3 head makes for a lower more penetrating ball flight.
in summary, i'm one happy customer.
i'd encourage anyone who's looking for a new driver shaft to give the Graman ultimate shaft a try.

| Hi Dgman Where can I find the shaft specs for this shaft? I can't find it online I recently came across a hybrid shafted with a 5series shaft that is for sale. Is it the hybrid version of the shaft or simply a shortened driver shaft. If it's the latter, it'd mean that it probably weighs 40+ grams now right? | |

| I like the Graman shaft as well. Have the 640 in my driver for many years. It was fitted at BFG then. The head changed but the shaft stay. | |
