Very nice place Linch, decor looks a bit like a lounge.

Simulator is top notch, the Koreans do it the best imo, very detailed information to help compensate for actual visual and feel loss, especially when putting. Grid lines appear on the green and you can actually see the break.

Here's part of review with the cost breakdown at the end. The swing plate mentioned is only for the simulator on the first floor.

"Equipment is state-of-the-art, with even your ball teed up automatically on your choice of course, out of the numerous world famous layouts. The computer then informs you of all the factors like elevation, wind direction and speed, to assist in your club selection. The swing plate which you stand on even tilts to mimic actual ground contours. Landing in trouble spots like rough, fairway or greenside bunkers requires harder hits anywhere from 10% to 40% more. When it’s time to chip or putt, grid lines and arrows showing the contours and break up or downhill are overlaid on the green.

A round of golf takes a lot less time and costs a fraction of the real deal, in much more comfortable and cooler surroundings right in the heart of the central business district, making it hard to ignore the itch after a day at the office. Off the menu, grilled meats, finger foods and drinks are available to complete your golf entertainment. To play is just $30 per person with a minimum of four persons for two and a half hours, sufficient time to complete 18 holes. A flat $50 per hour applies for overtime charges."

I've read about that place before. Cool thing is you get to "play" many top notch courses minus the geographical barriers Laughing

Need 2 more golfer Moon, you gather together I will talk to them la.

If can get a big group, I see what they offer. Cos it's a good place to hold function also, 3rd floor room is big and outside got room for party on the rooftop. Very conducive atmosphere for chilling out. Can see lots of Korean music video too on the wall screen, sound system very good. Sensurround!

ChemPro, for bunkers, hit off the mat also, which is actually longer artificial turf coloured white, rough is the same long turf coloured green, but the screen gives you the percentage of extra strength you need for the shot. Fairway bunkers extra 20%, greenside bunkers extra 40%.

You can use their clubs, but the set might not suit you. The ladies set is not so good.

But for full enjoyment, I'd rather use my own.

chemicalpro.....most of the courses are in asia except pebble bay i think!

Birdman...which room did u play cos the room i played in did not have longer turf for bunker

imho, very enjoyable place with a group of friends but nothing beats the real thing and the swing plate does not tilt to mimic actual ground conditions!

oh and i hate it when i cant putt from the fringe! but still worth a visit cos got korean chick!

I had a session with 3 friends last Sunday morning. Much as Birdman had described.

We had some struggling to adapt to the putting, but after the helpful and patient shopkeeper explaining that the usual strength from the putting point to the screen will move about 10m, we were then left to ponder with our interpretation of the on-screen left-right-up-down.

We could not get used to hitting an iron from the automated tee (visually it challenges whether we want to hit down or sweep, imho), so all of us put the ball on the mat for par-3.

We were also forewarned that both right and left deep rough is OB, so no no to the dreaded hook or slice, else you can't continue play for the hole once you have attained a double-par (we have quite a handful of these pars Smile ).

And yes, we get to use driver to hit ball from the par-5 fairway, a cheat move that we might not pull off in real golf. Razz

Good place to chillout with friends (non-golfers as well), or cure own golf itch for an hour or two. $30 per pax, 4 persons, golf in 2.5 hrs, with no worry of good-turn-bad weather or slow front flight or pushy back flight, not much sweat (air-con). Bring own clubs if you are serious about feel or scores, otherwise, the in-house clubs are suffice for fun.

urban fairways is way, way, way more expensive on a per person basis. I remember checking their prices couple of months ago and thought playing on a real course is much better value. My impression is that their main target market is corporate events.
