GR Game at Ria Bintan - 9th November

Even my game is so chui...I'm still excited playing at Ria Bintan again. Beautiful course. My goal is to conquer the signature hole Par 3.

Was so worried when I arrived at TMFT yesterday morning and it was still raining. But I told myself, have faith... we are playing in a different country. LOL...
When we got to Bintan...It was a beautiful day.
They catered a bus just for us. It was nice just to have all GRians on board.

Got to the clubhouse and was greeted warmly by the staff.
We teed off in time and the everything went smoothly. Came back with a lot of time to spare. So lots of time for TCSS....

Overall everything went according to plan. Even the weather went according to plan. 

On a separate note. Remember I mentioned that I wanted to conquer the signature hole Par 3 in my earlier post.................well.... I did it!   Happy! Hahahaha

I would like to thank my flight mates, my sista katherinechiok, Technospaz & DWK. @ Technospaz & DWK - my sista Kat & I would like to thank you both for the watermelon juice. It was sooo sweet.  Hee hee hee....

Most important of all, I would like to thank all who have participated. Truly appreciate your support for this event.

Thanks Monica for organising the game! Definitely had a great time out there!

Mloy birdied that hole. The 9th. I sent mine into wonderland.

After the first 9, DWK and I were 6 holes down. Needless to say, we sucked our thumbs for the rest of the game.

We took selfies too...



Sigh.

But, it was always fun to play with the BVA. At the very least, it's nice to know that we've renewed our BVA membership for several lifetimes to come. A real pleasure to watch these professional LPGA pros demolish our dignity and pride (not that we had much to start with anyway).

Congrats to the BVA... you gals still have it!!

Thks Mloy for arranging it. Yesterday the weather was great, company was even better.

U guys had no chance, I could hear her evil laughter from miles away.

Her iron shots were deadly accurate. Her drives were long.

The only times when she cursed and swore was when her shots were 5 meters off the center of the fairway.

And even when that happened, Kat put her drive right smack in the center.

Seriously... there was little DWK and I could do but bend over.

Hi everyone!

Good morning to all of you. Hope the post Ria Bintan game has been leaving everyone a nostalgic memory for each hole especially hole 7,8 & 9  

Thank God for the perfect weather and smooth sailing golf + outing. Everything went well. Many thanks to Mloy for organising a get together for GRians, finally I have met you guys in person. 

RIA Bintan really is scenic and definitely worth going for a weekend of unlimited golf and perhaps a BBQ in d evening. I have spread the word to my golf kaki and family to go over and enjoy Bintan.

My flight mates were very fun people to be with having 9Points as my GPS (better than a Bushnell), Uncle Poh (Master Bunker Player), upcoming Pro Young Jarred. 

All in all, the trip was worth every second. Let's hope there will be another outing in a couple of months time and have a name to the event i.e. "GR Tour Challenge Trophy".... Some cool prizes shall be arranged

Hi Mloy and all GRians,

A big thanks to Mloy for organizing a great golf outing in Bintan. Mloy looking forward to participating the next golf outing.

As a newbie to Bintan and to GR, I really had a great time despite having several bogies. I saw Dking losing 3balls in a single hole and I was like gee...he came well prepared. Superman certainly drive far, iron is farthest and putting equally as far. Superman have great potentials if he could control his shot. Then met Lousyswinger, well I should say his swing has improve each time. He should change his name to Improvedswinger.....eventually....to.... Perfectswinger. The sad thing is that I gave him some tips and he end up driving further than me... never give 'this old man' some face.

As for the rest of the GRians that I happens to chance upon on the ferry or at Bintan, I look forward to playing with you all if chance permits. On the whole, I should tip my hats to all GRians for displaying an excellence pace of play. Keep it up... Guys and Gals.

See you all in next year golf gathering (as mloy have suggested).
