GR is organising a game at Ria Bintan Golf Club. Details are as below.

Date: 9th November 2014 (Sunday)
Cost: $184.00 - which include Ferry, Green fees, buggy, caddy, golf insurance & 2 way land transfer. We need min 20 golfers to enjoy the special rates.
Ferry timing: Depart SIN at 8.10am and return on the 5.35pm Bintan time.

Hi All,

Meeting time at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 7am. Please do not be late. Present your passport at the Ria Bintan counter to get your boarding pass & Immigration Declaration card. Golf bags will be tagged and checked in by them.

Upon arrival in Bintan, proceed QUIETLY  to a Ria Bintan Representative holding a placard (Golf Republic). When everyone is gathered he will lead us through the express immigration counter. After clearing the custom proceed to board the Ria Bintan Golf Club bus. Its about 35mins ride to the clubhouse.

Shotgun start is at 9.15am Bintan time.

Pairing list should be up by tomorrow.

Hi Mloy,

BBT to Ria Bintan Clubhouse bus ride should probably take around 15-20mins max, based on what I know or 35mins are you taking into consideration all the waiting time plus clearing customs too?

Think mloy is putting in a buffer. It may well be 15-20 main for one or 2 golfers to travel from the terminal to ria. But for close to 40 people its a diff story.

That said, I agree with Mloy on this. Better to buffer more than less. There will always be a reason for delay and it's better to be early than late.

Eden and TS. Me too. i am just one of the lambs hoping not to be lamb chops served in bintan. But the thing that perplexes me is the "proceed QUIETLY" to the Ria Bintan rep part. I dunno how we are going to do that with Mloy around.

No choice lah. New policy in Bintan & Batam. If you are caught talking loudly they send you back. It happened before to other Singaporeans 

Not to worry....At the last GR game at Batam I had a lot of practice.

As we have 10 flights and a ferry to catch would appreciate that we all practice some golf etiquette. Eg. Do keep pace of the flight in front of you.
