To the guy who practise your pitching in Bishan park,

I observed on 2 occasion that you were pitching (hitting the ball to around 80m range) in Bishan park around in the evening around 6.30pm. There is a Bishan driving range nearby, don't save on the few dollars of range balls. You are endangering the park users by doing so, and not forgetting you are also creating divots in the park. Please stop before I report you to the N park.

cannot say he broke any laws or ettiquette. more like an inconsiderate divot making act. or worse an accident if he shanks and hits a kid.

i believe he is trying to practise chipping where no chipping green can be accessable in that region....its not against any rules or law of this nation but would prefer that someone notify him of the possible danger he may cause to user of the park, especially kids running around....if that guy is careful enough and able to exercise his practise far away from park user, it should be fine. Ironically, being a golfer myself and treating safety seriously, i would still prefer he practise in a proper designed area in clubs.

Whoever sees him doing that next time shld approach him n tell him nicely that he is posing danger to the park goers n instead he shld find a spot away from the crowd to practice his pitching.

Firstly, he already seems to be in a spot by himself.
Secondly, he might not be using actual golf balls.

Let's not be too quick to judge.

And actually, if anyone sees that he is indeed in the wrong, I think it is right that you step up to him.
Don't let an accident happen then look back in hindsight.

Else, encourage passion.
I am sure he is aware that there will be people watching and tongues wagging.
So gotta give it to him, at least he is not shy about his passion.

Just gotta do it safe.

Give the man a break. I dun see whats wrong with pitching in the park where nobody is nearby ,
the grass will grow back in no time

those playing Frisbee , learning to ride a bicycle or skating can be dangerous too ?

no wonder Singaporean cannot think out of the box, why restrict everything?

I'd like to invite you to try making such a tongue-in-cheek comment the next time you're out on the course, see what kind of response you'll get in return.

If you've been in the forum long enough, you'd be surprised how many such comments pop up. And if you do a search, there are actual incidents of golfers launching one at another golfer.

Perhaps you are not aware that there are varying levels of golfers in here, including many who are just learning the game who are looking to more experienced golfers for guidance and advice.

Look at in that light and you'll get where I'm coming from, just as I didn't get that you had tongue-in-cheek. Peace
