Rory the Champion Golfer of the World. His dad and friends who almost 10 years ago bet on him winning the Open are cashing their cheques.
Guess no takers at 500-1 for Rory winning another major in the next 10 years...

This TW (Tom Watson), played much better than the younger TW and he had qualified himself for the Ryder Cup after finishing the final round with a 68 and outplaying many others much much younger than himself. Congratulations to Senior TW for a good round.

Typically most players would use 2i off the tee even for long par 5 or 4 holes when playing link course like Royal Liverpool but the weapon of choice for Rory was his driver and he hit his driver very well during the four rounds ... That was his lethal weapon ... However, I can't say the same for TW ... TW's driver sprayed left and right most of the time starting from round 2 ...

Rory is in the limelight again! I believe he may be the one who can match or better TW's 14 majors ... Not sure if he can break Jack's record ... Still too early to tell ...

Personally, I don't think he can achieve what Tiger did, dominate in the manner that TW did for 10 years. Jack may own 18 Majors but he did not dominate like Tiger did. And during Jack's time, there were not as many potentially good players who can give a run for his money. Today's golf is totally different. There are many wannabes around who take turns winning big tournaments. To remain in the elites of golf, one has to play consistently well to keep clear of the pack behind him. We will know if he is the One when he reaches 10 Majors and by what age.
