Temp closure of Pelangi Driving Range (JB) from (from 6 July for 2 months)

For those who visit Pelangi Driving Range in JB, I just found out that it will be closed for 2 months from 12 6 July 2009 to facilitate some renovation works.

EDIT: The revised notice says that the closure starts from 6 July for 2 months.

I also go there quite often so I'm upset. I guess we can try Johor Jaya or Ponderosa?

Can try RJCC.. They r managed by the same ppl as pelangi.. MST Golf.
RJCC = Royal Johor Country Club.
Nearer compared to Johor Jaya and ponderosa.

Bro, I'm only there on some weekends when I'm back in JB to see my in-laws. And typically on Friday evenings / Saturday mornings/afternoons. Will be back there in 2 weeks. Maybe we can catch up there

got one uncle infront of me... swing like 36 handicapper but keep on yapping away on how to swing la... bla bla bla... i noticed he was trying to show his fren two bays in front of him ... how to shit proper shots.

the he took out his driver.. another fella came and try... and remarked " whao so far", " whae .. poower like bull"


i was actually quite pissed.. cause he yap non stop. i looked at his swing ..... macam rojak.. yet still wanna teach ppl.

No no no. I've no idea who this person is. I said that if you're coming by, I'll be the one who hits like a 36 handicapper but doesn't talk as much, i.e. I'm the one who's crap.

Oh, that's too bad, chocoman. I guess the next time we'll have a chance to play at Pelangi will be in 2+ months time. I hope the range opens sooner though.

I take it that you're based in JB? I live in SG but spend many weekends back in JB (in-laws are here) so I get my fix at the ranges in SG. That said, if there's another good range nearby Pelangi, I'm more than happy to explore

Hey chocoman, if you range at RJCC and if you meet the Captain of RJCC do help me to say Hello for me....His name is Mr Teo, former Malaysian Navy Officer hehe nice chap....VJ used to play and range at RJCC in the early days of his career.
