lpga prize money vs tour expenses

Looking at the prize money for hsbc golf for the winner tomorrow. Winner gets about 200k. Good news is that everyone gets some money with the last place getting about 3k.

Qn here is anything lower than top 30, prize is just a few thousand dollars. Question is those on tour are their air tickets and hotel stay paid for by the organiser (hsbc) ? What about the caddie? 

Cant imagine how a mid to bottom table pro survive all these tour expenses.

Shld be from their own pocket for all their trips n caddie.

So if they dun start winning any tournaments, the sponsors will also slowly peel off. They will also be pressured to do well otherwise will be thru their own saving.

For the HSBC Womens, it is my understanding that Fairmont is putting all the players up in their hotel for free.  Most of them also came in on Singapore Airlines from BKK for free.

The caddies are on their own.  One of the caddies I was speaking to is staying at almost a budget like hotel!

wow, budget hotel? not as great as I thought. not easy without wins.

Most times air tickets by the players themselves. 

Hotels...depending on the venue. Some like Thailand and Singapore provide sponsored accom.

Yes....It is a tough life out there for these touring pro, hence the onus on them to be as up high on the moneylist as possible.

all the glamor on the TV.. fly around, play golf all week.. before tournament party, mid event party, end of event party..

little is seen on behind the scene.. on all the hours put into training... success not guaranteed.
I now discover that even the tour cost is not often paid for.. its really tough...
