| You guys are all experienced golfers, can I ask what you think of someone very new to golf getting the G25 driver? I tried it the other day and liked it very much, but I was thinking that at my level of play I prob won't benefit much from getting such a good driver.. opinions please? | |

| Give yourself time to try other drivers. No need to hurry. Look around and you may come across a good deal. | |

| I'm beginning to think that it's the shaft which makes the most difference. | |

| After being beaten to a pulp by this thing, I was finally able to fall asleep without the nightmares. Now someone dredges up this thread again. Bad Dreams, bad bad dreams. And just when I thought it was safe to go back to the course. | |

| Thanks for the replies.. After trying a couple of drivers, from a cheapo Wilson, to Nike VRS Covert to my father in law's TM R540 and the G25, I think I'm still in love with the G25 | |

| Then go for it. Just make sure you get the same shaft that you tried. Enjoy! | |

Simple solution, just buy that demo club. Maybe they sell cheaper too.

| my personal opinion..PING has the best drivers in the market. I like the sound and the flight of the ball..best thing is the stock shaft is solid...no need to change to aftermarket. But to each his own | |

I recently bought a Matrix 6m3 Black Tie from a bro here and used it on my trusty Razr Fit head. WOW!!! Hands down the best combo! The manufacturer's brief on this shaft stated that it was for hard hitters who want to go at it. Low spin and low launching. Guess what, I swing smooth, I need help with launching my tee offs. So in theory, this shaft shouldn't even be in my hands. However, the results were totally unexpected. I have a piercing drive and it muted my misses significantly! Increase in distance, easily 20m. My take on shafts, screw reviews. Keep an open mind, try out shafts of all price ranges, flexes, and manufacturers. Find one that makes you go ,"WOW!!!!"

| like denmeister. I tried shafts and shafts and then some more. finally I stuck a 3 wood fujikurs rombax into a head that used to launch too high for me. so guess what. I have a 43 inch driver!
AND I didnt lose any distance!
i say try em all. have fun

Not really, the stock shaft was 70g to begin with. I put in an aftermarket YSQ shaft but it was too light. Keep on topping and I am very handsy with it. A heavier shaft will force you to utilize your bigger muscles to generate the speed and it is more stable. If you are handsy with a heavy shaft, you will get tired fast.
