There was once I posted a phone for sale in ebay and got a reply from a lady in Nigeria. Her email message was very convincing, that she wanted to buy for her son in the states. She even attached a bank draft from Bank of America and informed me that I need to ship out the phone before the money can be released. I then wrote in to BOA and was told that it wasn't a genuine draft from the bank. Needless to say, I just ignored the buyer completely.

In the modern world of digitization, one must exercise extreme caution when transacting over the internet. Tigawood, lucky for you or else the arsehole will be laughing all the way to the bank.
HI Nutty88,

I experienced the same as you, last yr I posted online at the free classfied advert and received this old man who claimed he stays in London wanna to buy the item , a bn Casio watch for his grandson who working in Nigeria. Just checked the shipping fee and let him know he will do the credit, cos its under paypal transaction so only buyer received the shipping now then paypal will credit the money into my account. I feel fishy cos when I asked him he interested in another watch , no bargain he just take them both costing S$500. And when i checked shipping its another $180 so i refused to arrange to ship till I received the $$. HE kept emailing chasing me said he had already pay to paypal once i gave him the shippin infer they ail credit the $$.

i ignored his email n what he did was sent me another email, attached a Pay pal for me to check with them that the $$ is already credited by him waiting for my shipping info. I found out the link is also a scam created link and i dint replied. The last he wanna me to do was he claimed he couldnt get back his money, asked me to do a remit thru western union and wait for paypal to return my money. So I just emailed to Paypal cc him to said im cancelling this sales transaction. Then days later, another email similar one I received. This time boss wanna to buy wedding gifts to staffs. Its was my first time encounter and I had learnt something .

It is likely that there is a malware (e.g. keylogger) installed on your laptop such that this guy is able to know passwords to all your account. Do get your machines checked. Changing passwords will not help since he will be able to know the new passwords if the malware is still present.
I'm using Mac, any software to recommend?

I am also using Mac and the AV software is Trend Micro Security
