| Hello, been reading about golf lately as it was introduced a while back..
Just wondering if it is really necessary to have a handicap to play in the greens? Don't remember it was needed overseas?

| In Singapore, most courses required handicap or in-house PC to play. U can play in executive courses or par3 courses without handicap. | |

| If you haven't got a handicap, MBGC allows you to take a swing test for a small fee ($10?) and if you pass, it's valid for a month (I think) so you can play at MBGC. But really, if you're looking to play golf longer term in Singapore, you should seriously consider getting a handicap. Yes, it's time consuming and difficult but once you do, it makes your golfing escapades so much easier | |

PC is valid in the issued club only, Handicap is valid world wide. In fact all proper golf courses would require a valid handicap to play but some are not be strict on this as they only interested in $$$. Under USGA, a proper PC/handicap card would means you have acquired a basic knowledge of golf etiquette (for safety of other golfers and care for the course), rules and golf skills (avoid slow play and damaging courses). It would be good if you can get one.
