If I were you, I won't go for MX300. My sentiments same as Mr MC. The thing about playing anything blade class (semi-blade, muscle back, full blades, etc) is that you need to train hard and practice a lot. And for me, that's the fun part. I don't want to be going to the range just to hit ball after ball, if you know what I mean.

i did somehow got to try a PW last week at occ...

i think is a titi 695 something..... can only say the feel is hmmmmmmm wet wet

now i know why ppl like blade.... but still need skill n hard work in order to play the longer irons...

Didn't see any ads anywhere but was informed by Jeff (GH) about the promo when I was fiddling with the Mizzys at the Golf Carnival at OCC.

No matter what u do just make sure u get yourself fitted with the correct shaft, grip size & lie angles.

MP52 or MP58

g5 driver selling at 500rm...

i went to have a more detail look at mx300.

i realized that if you take away the cosmetics , it looks more or less the same as my mx25.

if i were you.

i'd be at GH at 11am and JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm fighting... MC spoke well. The Mx-300s are not very different from my X-20s. If I can play well with my X-20s, the more obvious upgrade would be the blades but I think they are still tricky.

Good question - I believe that blades enable greater control but are designed for the better player (which I'm not).

Next one should be Ikasu CB (well MB if you die die must go for blades), to allow better shot shaping

(not to say that you can not do it with other clubs - but with this you can join the ikasu vs prototype game )

1. Find someone that is realli interested in MX300....
2. hedge a sell price to him (for a very minimal used set of MX300)
3. Buy one new set, take to actual game
4. If no shiok,, then approach 'him'.

it's an uphill battle the moment u switch but at the top of the hill, the view is spectacular... and like they say, the urge to shout SHIOK AH at every good hit is always there...

btw, i'm a highly handicapped player but still enjoy the MPs.... i switched not coz of the shiokness but more of the look at setup... the X20s looked too chunky compared to the mizzys...

Just out of curiosity, why change to MX-300?? Peer pressure?? aesthetics??? I mean if all things being equal, both are comparable in terms of performance, you are not going for upgrade but you are rather doing a horizontal shift.

After all, an upgrade should be vertical.

Oddly enough, that's how I felt. But the MX-300s feel better. But I admit that I'm itchy. Lots of peer pressure (this thread alone is evidence of that). I really appreciate the frank feedback, Winston!
