MX-300s - I hate myself!

Saw the MX-300s today. I am sooo tempted to just buy them. Pretty good price in M'sia (approx $1,350) but I'm not sure if I should. Tried out the 6i and it feels wonderful. I can't tell, however, whether it plays better than my X-20s. I would feel completely annoyed if I spent good money on the MX-300s only to have it perform just as well as (or worse than) my X-20s. Sigh...

mx300 for 1350? . then do u know the price for mx200??..

i also looking into either mx300 and mx200 .. not bad price for a set of irons?..

im waiting for GH xmas sale... hope they will advertise soon...

TS, both are GI clubs. u'll just be trading a cast one for a forged one. that's all.

Jeff Goh (GH) says there's a promotion going on this week (till next Sun) for Mizuno irons. Was trying both the MP52 & MP58 at OCC - price approx. $1300+ for steel shaft + free bag.

Very tempted to go for MP58 but then again MP52 is more forgiving.........So wanna look good or play better golf??

Bro, I share the same predicament... I am using X20s and cannot remember how many times I fondled the MX300 at GH. They are just so pretty!

I nearly got the MX-300s for the 3-5i to complement the 68s if not for their stronger lofts. Its that good!

I think you should NOT change to Mizzys. Your Callys are fine for you. The feel of forged clubs hitting down onto the ball and the tingles that shiver up the shaft of the club, into your arms and ultimately into your brains, exciting millions of neurons to into an orgasmic trance, resulting in the golfer in you with the uncontrollable urge to scream and shout "SHIOK AH!", is NOT suitable for you.

Please do NOT step into Golf House and worst still, do NOT try all the Mizuno clubs! As I have mentioned, the feeling of forged is NOT suitable for you.

hahah looks there's an answer that's way ahead! TS i'd agree with birdman that both are GI clubs and all you'll be doing is trading in cast for forged, but on the other hand, you'll be trading in cast for forged! hahaha

honestly, i wouldn't be expecting a huge difference in terms of performance between the two and i feel it'll just be an indulgence to get the mx300s. but it's christmas bro, indulge indulge indulge!

TS: What grips did you regrip? Maybe I take them off you.

Find back those old grips and regrip back loh. Unless you told them to slit it off.

You can also reuse the grip to yr new mizzy la. Just go to the den and ask Jeff to fix you some grip, the next thing you know, the x20 can be backup set whenever you travel.

I have my Callaway grips (didn't get them slit). They were still in decent condition but was itchy and decided to regrip them all.

Where's this $1.3k offer at GH? I'm tempted to go look now. As for selling the X-20s, that's a thinker... may want to keep a spare set.

honestly, if u ask me, it is 80% player, 20% equipment.

specs and characteristics between MX300 and X20s is damn similar. almost like compaing X20s to X22.5s, if you get my drift. it is like pocket cavity to pocket cavity $1,350 upgrade.

unless u got too much cash and want more bling or you can feel, appreciate and can capitalise on the grain flow forging of the irons or you just prefer the look of the mizzys over the x20s.... then i'd suggest u do not get it.

but 80% player and 20% equipment rule of course do not apply if u are thinking of upgrading to MP58 or MP68s... but that is a different poison altogether which i will gladly administer...
