President's Cup 2013

Hey everyone! The Presidents Cup captain's made their captain's pick today.  Fred Couples for USA picked Webb Simpson and Jordan Spieth, a 20 year old rookie who is having one heck of a rookie season! He won at the John Deere Classic in a playoff against David Hearn and Zach Johnson and also shot a final round 62 this past week during the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship. He's playing really well right now!

Nick Price for the international team selected Marc Leishman of Australia and Brandon de Jonge of Zimbabwe.  The Presidents Cup is going to be held the week of October 3 at Muirfield Village in Ohio (a course where Tiger's won multiple times!). 

Should be fun to watch - any picks for the winning team yet?!

It's hard to put together strong team spirit for the intl team. They dont share common culture or shared struggle like the euros in the 80s. 

I think couples will pair Phil with Jordan. Phil always play supportive big bro role. as usual, Tiger will play with Stricker and maybe Matt Kuchar. His old college competitor. I also look fwd to dufner/johnson pairing again.

At the singles however,, intl can make some noise. personal pride could make them play hard.
