there is no guarantees in golf and like they say, you are only as good as your last campaign....strange to see ETW so far down the leader board but its the golfer versus the golf course and the elements. so looks like mother earth can decide too who should win and who should not...

TW really messed up. I've rarely seen him post scores so bad. Based on the PGA shot tracker, it seems as if his putting let him down.

Some interesting points of interest, Even thru China teen sensation Guan Tianlang MC, but he still play well enough 72 79 to beat the course, weather and some of the big boys. K.J. Choi buy an off the rack MP64 and tied at T21 with Luke Donald, the player whom co-design input the MP64. Dustin Johnson miss cut, but guess he is happy for extra 2 days off with his girlfriend. Sang-Moon Bae, the textbook swinger MC too after his maiden PGA win last week.

Like wat Boss Eric say, there is no guarantees in golf and like they say, you are only as good as your last campaign.... you play as it lies.

Kooch is really revving on all cylinders this season. Super consistent with 35 Top-10s since 2010 - a Tour-leading stat. Guess his swing change was worth it.

We will see if Tiger's and Rory's swing changes hold up at Merion. If not, more golfers may end up flattening their swing like Kooch did.

I heard he worked with Bettinardi to produce 2 models of Kucher-endorsed putters, so we may see him with a putter sponsor soon?

@WY: We watched the tournament on TV all four days. Just seemed like he was playing mediocre golf (by his standards anyways!). His short game was pretty off and the rough definitely took it's toll on him. His putter totally left him too and he seemed to struggle with the speed of the greens.

Some of the putts he took that lead to those doubles and triples though seemed more like a mental lapse where he stopped caring, but he did shoot Par on Sunday! I'm sure he'll put in a lot of work, like everyone else, to get ready for Merion!
