| Tiger is coming back strong after the second day. Rory and Phli missed the cut.
Hope Tiger will do well with 2 more days to go.

| It might be a coincidence but I had a dream about tigers last night and woke to news of Tiger winning the Memorial! Birdied three of the last four for a nine under,2 stroke victory!
Way to go Tiger! He's on the prowl again! Watch out Luke and Rory, just keep the throne seat warm.

Your dream did come turth. Tiger did win the tournament by 2 strokes but Rory was already miss the cut on the 2nd day and Luke finished 12th. Tiger is back and is it good to see him win again ... Tiger is always being TIGER ! | The best shot from Tiger in par 3, 15th hole. Watch the video above post... It is fun to watch Tiger play as you never know what will come out from him ... like this shot OMG.
[Coming off a two-putt birdie on the 15th, Woods hit 8-iron over the green at the par-3 16th and into an impossible lie. It was buried in deep rough, the pin 50 feet away along a ridge. Woods hit a full flop shot, hopeful to give himself a reasonable putt for par. Far more likely was the ball going short and down a slope away from the pin, or coming out too strong and rolling into the water.
No one was thinking birdie, not even Woods, until he took two steps and delivered an uppercut when the ball fell in the right side of the cup.
Nicklaus was gushing from the broadcast booth. "The most unbelievable, gutsy shot I've ever seen," he said.
"Under the circumstances – the circumstances being Tiger has been struggling – it was either fish or cut bait," Nicklaus said later. "He had one place to land the ball. He's playing a shot that if he leaves it short, he's going to leave himself again a very difficult shot. If he hits it long, he's going to probably lose the tournament. He lands the ball exactly where it has to land. Going in the hole was a bonus. But what a shot]

| Fantastic win by Tiger, what a gutsy flop shot with so much on the line. The gallery was applauding him wholeheartedly - for him all scandals and rumours are just subtitles when he plays well. | |

| Thanks pushslice, was trying hard to do some metal sums when they said 175 yards. 159m to the hole means that to hit it past he probably took a measured swing to hit approx 165m and let it slide back down the slope...with a 9 iron. Odds are he can outdrive many of us with just his 9 iron stinger. - pushslice wrote:

| He rate the 16 hole chip in as good as, if not better, than the one he did in Master years ago.
When he's playing so good, he's unbeatable, he just got this aura that made people 'WOW'. Anyone looking for consistency should look away, Luke Donald is the more consistent one, but whenever TW is at this level is like watching some great musical or opera performance. Hope he can do this for the US Open next wk.

| I was kinda worried when I see Tiger in round 3. He looked sick from the allergies that were triggered from the cottonwood trees at the course.
He looked like a tiger during the final round. I think the US Open in 2 weeks will be one heck of a competition to watch.

| It was not an easy set up on Sunday.
Of the 70 people who made the cut, 19 shot under par, 11 even, 40 over par.
67 was the lowest score, posted by 4 players: Tiger, Andres Romero, Greg Owens and JB Holmes.
Rickie Fowler, who was paired with Tiger, shot 84, the highest score on day 4, 12 over. He was 5 under after day 3, shooting 71, 71 and 69 and was in contention going into day 4.
Phil withdrew after shooting 79 in day 1 citing fatigue.
Players who missed the cut included some notable names.
Bubba who just won the Masters, shot 75 and 74.
Louis Oosthuizen, how almost won the Masters, shot 75 and 80.
Rory McIlroy, 71 and 79.
The course (and the different weather for each of the 4 days as described by Jack Niklaus) will beat you up unless you were in absolutely good shape.

| Where's Bubba Watson? The 2012 Master winner? Never really like the way he handle press conference or interview but so much was said about the up-rising of his game the moment he won this year's Master, a bomber, power-fade etc (this & that) but... where's he ended up?
Not to even mention the recent major winners like> Keegan Bradley (PGA 2011) Darren Clarke (The Open 2011) Charl Schwartzer (Master 2011) Martin Kaymer Trevor Immelman Lucas Glover YE Yang (who pip Tiger's 15th major Stewart Cink (The Tom Watson's party crasher in The Open 2009)?
Except for Rory McIlroy who still maintain a better consistency (compare to other major winners) before and after the 2011 US Open, other major winners were merely like "win-and-disappear".
Put the scandal aside, I think TW really work his socks off to regain his game and his recent 2 wins are really fun to watch. Hope he carries on the momentum into the US Open, and silent the critics.
