| I nearly gave up after my first 18 holes in malaysia. 4 of us first timer in a flight running all around the course. I think the flight behind us must be really mad. Did not record the score as everyone also "ka lan ka bo". Don't know what to do actually. Bring me back all the good memories.... | |

| My first 18th hole was in WGCC was in Aug'09....Total score near 140. I started off the game in high spirit BUt after 1st hole, it was like.....shit, how come, why.. , arghhh...after the 18th hole, i feel pai seh to submit score card and just head home. Felt like the whole world came crashing on me...
When i reached home, my wife asked me hows my game, and i said...i think golf is not my game. Felt like giving up golf totally.
3 months down the road...i'm still playing golf...WHY....cos i forget about the bad shots and remember the good ones. if i would give up golf so easily, i would have give up on my studies long ago.

| My 1st game on Jan 2009 at IOI palm villa. My buggy seldom goes to the fairway, you probably heard me shouting from most of the tee box. | |

| I believe I was practicing quite hard at the range b4 I hit the course for the 1st time and like most of us, felt the difference between hitting from the range mat and from the fairways. But at the end, all it takes is that ONE sweet shot, and that's enough to keep me going. Still happens...one nice shot is enuff to help forget the bad scores! | |

| I can't remember my first 18 score (old man liao.. bad memory), but I remember having lots of fun! I remember one of my fren's first 18 hole score.. because after the game, when we asked him for his hole-by-hole score, he was like "9..8...7...5...etc..etc..) then another fren cut him off after his 8th score and joked loudly.. "EH.. I asked you for your golf scores, not for your handphone number!" hahaha Anyway, golf is weird, you might have 100+ bad shots, but then you will always have that one shot that you pured; and it left you feeling estatic...But it also left you deluded; deluded into thinking that you can repeat that 1 good shot at will if you bought new equipment, tried out that tip you read in golf digest, or saw on youtube. Next thing you know.. you've been bitten by the golf bug...and realized that it's too late..... | |

| For my first time, I was very fortunate enough to be able to play 2 x 18-hole games back to back on 2 different courses in JB on the same day! Score was horrible mainly due to badly sliced drives, lost balls, balls landing in water and the resulting penalty strokes..
I still remember while preparing my stuff in sg for the 'big day', I was so KS and afraid that I would run out of balls to play midway through the game that I ended up bringing 80 balls with me!! Made allowance of losing 2 balls per hole ;p
But end up not so bad, only lost 12 balls at the end of the day! kekeke

| well, i had my first 18 holes 2 days ago... lost abt 20+ balls due to ultra slice.. since no flight behind us so i keep trying or shd i say keep slicing... (anyone knw what result to a bad slice? turn too fast or too slow?) overall very fun, unable to keep track of the score as its quite demoralising... i think better go take up refresher course with pros before my next game.. | |

overall very fun, unable to keep track of the score as its quite demoralising... i think better go take up refresher course with pros before my next game.. bad slices are result of open clubface and outside in swing path base on my newbie knowledge. i had my first game at starhill with GR, good times, excellent flight mates, don't think the score really mattered even though most are saying i did well. still plenty of room for improvement and that's what excites me.
