If I'm your flight mate I would have given u a free drop and take your 2nd from there..
Bros Chien & Technospaz, then I should've been playing wif u guys in the flight! Hahaha...the kakis I play wif are pretty strict wif the rules so to speak. Lost ball/can't find means 2 stroke penalty or re-tee again. Wat to do, smth juz had to spoil a beautiful day.

Here is the ruling I would apply:
18-1. By Outside Agency
If a ball at rest is moved by an outside agency, there is no penalty and the ball must be replaced. Note: It is a question of fact whether a ball has been moved by an outside agency. In order to apply this rule, it must be known or virtually certain that an outside agency has moved the ball. In the abscence of such knowledge or certainty, the player must play the ball as it lies or, if the ball is not found, proceed under Rule 27-1.
Bro DRGjr72, thks for this ruling. I gotta keep this ruling under my Notes. Should come in handy for future games.

| Army hole 3 is a par 5. My flightmate's ball veered left onto the opposite hole fairway.
Golfers from the other flight saw e ball. Pick it up. My flight mate shouted at the top of his voice that its his ball
Golfer tot he wanted it back and attempted to throw the ball back to our fairway
A bad toss and he threw it into the water instead. Smiled and drove his buggy away!

We were betting and we were all loss for words to see such appalling act by a golfer. Guess some people do not have the decency to even offer to replace the ball. I wanted to drive the buggy up to confront the guy. But was asked not to by the victim Well, what can i say...

| Wow, hearing that this happens quite a bit makes me feel a little better. Happened to me in the 9 hole Greenfairways on Saturday morning. Luckily my kakis saw my ball land in the fairway so they gave me a free lift. Otherwise it would have ruin my golf game for the week. | |

| Seriously i encountered a few times myself, kept asking myself why can buy expensive golf clubs but cant afford a golf ball? In the end, i listen to my flightmate and let it go, so as not to affect my game. | |

Not nice to use the word "retard". TW used it once in public and have to apologise for it. These people are already unfortunate enough. I thought we should not be using such words. I agree with TDO. It was unethical to pick up someone else's ball but certainly, it doesn't warrant the use of such terminology.

| Unfortunately some guys saw a ball lying unattended like gold, quickly pick it up and move without even bother to look around is it could be someone else ball from another hole. Had my share of experience, after teeing off my ball was landed on the fairway....there was a guy from adjourned hole hitting his ball from our fairway then after walk to the direction of my ball, pick it up and run....myself including my flight mates was stunt for a few seconds... We shouted at him then he throw the ball back and walk off without saying anything or gesture of sorry...what a joker | |

| Actually my shared experience came within my own flight! It was then many years back at Starhill walkg course. I teed off w a right fade bt nt a big slice n can be seen landed on the rough! One of my kakis friend teed off n he d this artistic slice n we cfm tat its 50-50 borrowed fairway or further inside rough. After drop off my buggy mate to his ball on the fairway, i proceed to my ball direction n to my surprise, my kakis friend was takg address n was about to hit tat shot! I stopped him immediately n asked whether did he checked n izzit his ball, his ans was yes bt i m nt convinced so went to the ball to hve a real close look! Its my ball i knw bt i regret i didnt mark it w anything. Asked him wat brand he uses n he said this s the same brand... LL i was n contd to look fr my ball at the areas...i m lost in 5 mins! I cldnt recover my mood n lost my game as well as bets! Shared w my two kakis tat i wasnt happy bt was advice tat next time mark yr ball regardless new or old balls, branded or non branded... | |
