| Im wondering does anyone experience club got stolen, of course touch wood. Weeks back, my son experienced that and didn't realised till he got home the next day. As he cleaned up the wedge after the game and kept in his golf bag. As He left for an hr lunch so it was left at the drop off area. The wedge was pretty old one just that it's given to him from his pro. | |

| Which club/course is this?
I know that MBGC has had a few issues only because the course is public and the bag drop area is in the open.

The wedge is pretty old its more on given by his Pro that we felt bad. Warren should generally be OK. Plus, I think it's odd that someone would steal one club (especially an old club) from a bag. If anything, they'd go for drivers or putters or more likely, the whole bag.

Golf club thieves don't need to run the risk of getting caught. Based on their conduct, I believe they can easily head onto the course with an empty bag and come back with 18 hole-in-ones. On the other hand, I despise golfers who keep clubs they found on and around the golf courses. These golfers don't realised that it's quite troublesome / expensive / difficult to purchase replacement iron(s), especially, if it is an older set. Why would these golfers need another, for example, 9 iron? Golf is a gentleman's game. Do what a gentleman would do.

| I've not met or played with any golfer who has kept clubs found on the course. Any golfer worth his salt would know the pain of hunting for replacement clubs.
And, I'm not sure what you mean by a golfer with an empty bag being able to come back with 18 HIOs. That's a cheat... which is dissimilar to a thief though there is some overlap.
We're talking about stealing a single club here from a bag left in the bag drop area. And, that club is an old wedge too.

| There were also incidents of equipment theft in OCC range ... It is not easy to catch the culprits even though OCC range has CCTV. Hence, most victims just claimed insurance ... If you did not purchase any insurance, good luck to you! | |

We're talking about stealing a single club here from a bag left in the bag drop area. And, that club is an old wedge too. I had amost the same encounter when I lost my 9 iron two years ago at The Legends. I did not check my bag until I reached Singapore (my mistake). Hence, I do not know whether I left it at the course or someone stole it from my bag at the bag drop area. I have made a few calls to the club the very next day but they claimed that no one had returned the club the day before nor can they find the club after they conducted a search. Thieves, cheats, golfers who lack golf etiquette, to me, are all the same. They are not "gentlemen". My apologies for causing the confusion. Aside to Tiramisu, what is the loft of the wedge? I have a spare, relatively new 52 degrees Vokey CC at home. Can give it to your son if the loft is suitable.

| Normal lah. I lost my putter cover up till now no news. Wish the new owner more bogeys and double pars because I put a curse on the cover to the finder. Anyway since that cover I had not got a par for last 90 holes I played so many lipped out and window shopping putt. Yesterday put back my old cover the pars started coming back again. | |

| I'm with you on this one, Bruise. I've not lost clubs before but have friends who have. It's really annoying and I'm always careful to check the bag before dumping it in the car. Even an honest mistake will mean additional legwork to get back to the course to recover the item. But certainly, those who steal should have the butts torn open with the club they maliciously took.
Tiramisu, I also have some wedges. What is the loft of the wedge which your son lost?

| Thanks BruiseLee& Technospaz for yr generous offer. Im not sure let me check with my son. His pro did called up Warren to ask. Anyway now my son is more cautious to check his things, a lesson learnt. | |

Yeah, fortunately it wasn't something which was brand new or too costly (though some items, old as they may be, are priceless for various reasons). Just remind him to be more careful in the future.
