Golf Course Condition Update

Tanjong Puteri (Plantation) - 12th Sep 2013
Green Fees: RM110 (weekday walk-in)
Fairway: Good
Green: Good and pretty consistent
Bunker: A bit hard
Buggy: Good
Overall: Pretty good course overall with different hole layouts to suit different skill levels. Not crowded and the new EDL-Pasir Gudang coastal highway makes it a breeze getting to the golf course from Woodlands.

Marina Bay golf course - 11th January 2015
Fairway - ok
Green condition - very very Sandy and it's not just one or ten holes but the entire 18!

MBGC has already announced in the website that the greens are under repaired ... Laughing

played yesterday afternoon. still somewhat sandy, but playable (but i'm quite a lousy golfer, so expectations not very high... heh...)

MBGC tee off from blue or white no different today just FYI, they're at the same place.

Still sandy today. Some parts of fairway under maintenance go couple of GUR.

Just played MBGC with couple of great guys..

Thats about it.. Greens are still unplayable.. not some grains of sand, more like plenty of sand still… Think have to wait at least another 2 weeks before going back...

Palm Resort Allamanda- 21/Mar/2015
Green fee: RM205 (member guest PM with buggy and set dinner)
fairway: Not really good maintenance, quite some holes grass already dying and rough mostly cow grass.
Green Condition: OK
Bunker: OK, not so hard.
Buggy: OK, quite good.
Overall: Not worth to play weekend, weekday might be OK.

Tanjong Puteri C course

probably got a fair bit of rain recently like the rest of singapore
so course is much greener as compared with palm villa which i played last week

Green Fee: RM200nett (promo). teed off @ 750am
Fairway: Good, nice and soft
Green Condition: Slow in the morning but firmed up closer to noon and reaching a nicer speed to play at
Bunker: firm. some waterlogged. but this is common
Buggy: Same old. Works, no complaints
Overall: condition is good now and had a pleasant game
Complaint: People need to learn to be patient with flights in front. had a few tee shots from back flight which came too close for comfort. on busy days, no point rushing. just rushing to wait again.

Green Fee: SGD 155 (promo). teed off @ AM
Fairway: Very dry and hard. many botak spots on the fairway!
Green Condition: good
Bunker: firm
Buggy: old but in working condition.
Caddy: good. market rate there is SGD 15 but feel free to give more if they are good.
Overall: sad to see fairway in such condition and will not go back anytime soon. but the enjoyable part of this course is the cheap ice cold beer available from the aunties in the middle golf course - SGD2/can while clubhouse is selling $4/can.
