We had Swan-e-Set as our "Course of the week" a couple of months ago (http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/course-of-the-week-swaneset-bay-resort-country-club/), and we got to play it last weekend.

Swan-e-Set consists of two championship courses (Resort & Links) designed by Lee Trevino, the only courses he's designed in Canada!  The courses are built into and around meandering streams, lakes, the Pitt River and the surrounding coastal mountains.  Again, a very scenic golf course that was very well maintained!  Also a very popular spot for wedding banquets because of the Castle-inspired clubhouse (more photos to come soon).  Check out the photos we took on our facebook page below first though!

This was one of the golf courses I really enjoyed playing in Canada. The road leading towards the clubhouse makes you feel as though you are Alice and you are entering wonderland. Like an enchanted forest. The clubhouse is just spectacular. one of the times I played there, it was sunny, then one minute it started to rain, snow and hail before the sun shined again. The greens were completely covered with small hailstones and was completely white. Me and my buddies continued playing and laughing as we watch our ball jump in all directions as it hit the hailstones on the putting surface. The sun soon came up and melted it all. Thanks 18 for reviewing this course an allowing me to share my experience of this beautiful golf course.

Loved reading about your experience!  It really is a great course, we're fortunate enough to live fairly close and are able to play both the Resort and the Links courses fairly often!  Let us know the next time you're in Vancouver - we should play a round together!

Sounds like typical fall/spring Vancouver weather though, was there a rainbow too? Haha! Wink

Hey everyone, played at Swan e Set again this weekend, but at their "Resort" course this time, not the "Links" course from the first time!  Had a great round going so didn't end up taking many photos, but this is the only one I took for the day.  A look at the 18th green and clubhouse in the background from the fairway!

we played at 3:15PM and ended at about 7:30pm, so it was a pretty quick round for us today - conditions could have been better, but with about 40 days straight of sunshine we've had in vancouver the past month or so, we were expecting some of the grass to be drier... great times at a great course!
