| Results summarized on first post! So far the gaps have been quite consistent.. The rough estimate that DGman gave really makes sense.. so maybe to increase driver distance, we should train more on 9 iron??? | |

| Not sure of speed but driver distance - 230-240m carry 7i - 150-155m Pw - 115-120m | |

| I think I hit my driver around 200M, 7i - 125-130M, PW is ard 90M...
For the formula of 2x, will it matter if the shafts are not the same flex? Cos my driver is stiff flex while my irons are regular flex (graphite).

| i mentioned 45 degree so the distance should be in between a regular 9 iron loft (42 degree) and a PW (48 degree).
just a rough formula so don't take it as the benchmark. also its easier to manage a PW than a driver

| Went to look at Ernie...as I believed his swing is a good replica of mine (setup only...sigh).....he seems bloody slow leh...or is it his cock-ing and holding it at the just pre-impact? | |

| DGman, suspect this might've been brought up in other threads before, but hope u don't mind me asking again - trackman will probably not be terribly accurate for newer players whose swings are not yet "set in" and are prone to inconsistency and constant change right?
Meaning the swing speed trackman measures is still not a clear indication of the achievable distance by the player?

| If I may assist, simply, Trackman measures your swing as you are now, it is not a crystall ball. And it is accurate, you just hit shot after shot, Trackman takes in all the data and averages it out. Bad shots can be deleted for a tighter result, of course bad is relative. | |

| I think the driver distance would depend on the course or hole layout. An elevated tee or if you play high above sea level you would get more distance. Most driving range goes to about 200-220m?
My swing speed = lazier version of The Big Easy. 7iron carries 150m + whatever roll I get. Driver carries to the back of the net + whatever roll I get. 4iron carries 180-185m
Oh I'm 6'4" 210lbs so... More room for improvement for me =)

| I think sheepskin is very popular in Golf Republic, many humble members here wearing them. Maybe should have GR sheepskin now after the GR caps. | |
