Hmmm, thought of that. Thanks! Bro, are you working on steel or graphite and what solvent will you be using? Tried on a graphite shaft, used the existing old tape (which is still sticky) and applied using hand soap diluted with water. And it works! That was about 2 months ago, and it's still firmly on the shaft. Not tried on steel shaft yet.

Steel I know can always just use petrol.

This is just my 2 cents worth.....dip your hands in the diluted soap, how does it feel...? slippery right? let it dry without washing it off, what happens? your hands feel tacky. Also, should you come across someone installing car windscreen windshield film...they will peel off the film spray it with soapy water for easy installation and thereafter drying it off.

Should be ok when dry, the racing folks uses the same method when applying decals on the race cars and bikes.

Yeah, easier to slide into perfect position before drying.

| Go to golfsmith.com and order yourself a set of 13 grips with solvent and double sided tape
Follow instructions on package
The challenge you will face is to find a clamp to clamp your club into position. Most of homes in sg don't have a garage and work bench
Use round grips instead of ribbed ones just in case if your alignment is slightly off, you can still have a good grip
Give it a shot | |

| Yes bro, if you are trying for the first time, I will suggest you start with round grips
Also, make sure you have plenty of rags and toilet paper standby to wipe the excess solvent Wear an apron in case the solvent squirt out
Will be great if you get someone around to assist you. You need a bit of strength to slot in the grip and quickly adjust to ensure alignment is right.
Good luck! | |

| You can get double sided tape from art friend or craft shops. I use the tissue double sided ones as they are thin. If you need to layer use regular masking tape to build up before using the double sided tape. I use WD 40 as solvent. | |

| Avoid using stationery grade double sided tape. When your grips starts to twist, you will know why. There is a reason why we use $18 grip tape. Hope it helps. | |
