| Had the chance to play 2 rounds of golf in Seattle. Weather was cooling (~18-23 deg C) and it was turning summer so sun sets about 9pm, very gd for golfing. Decided to play at these 2 courses because of location-wise, they were quite near to where I stayed and had good reviews on them. Some photos below. Washington National Golf Course - this is the home course for Washington University Team (Huskies). There is no fancy clubhouse, just a cottage for the golf reception + golf shop + snacks. Condition was not the very best I've seen but still in great shape. One thing I notice - once the ball gets into the first-cut of rough, it's difficult to get out, not like our nearby JB courses. first par 5 waste bunker feature purple and yellow is their fav color view of the green This was played from 6pm to 930pm, solo flight. Paid around 40 USD for a sunset round. Worthwhile game I think. Next up - Chambers Bay (love this course) | |

| Chambers Bay Golf Course - Site of 2015 US Open. Pure links course with no water feature, but with a backdrop of Puget Sound in some of the holes. Very scenic and you have to experience it yourself to truly appreciate it. It's a walking course only but I engaged a caddy to help me with my bag and some advice on how to play it. Green speed was around 9-10 that day, not very fast but enough to challenge. Another bro reviewed it before, but I thought just share some photos that I have here. the superb view that greets you when you reach the site : one of my favourite hole (got a diffcult par here) the railway hole - the whole fairway slopes towards the right and green is a very small area guarded by left n right bunker, difficult hole to play scenic par 3 - nearly birdied but lipped out at the last minute, sigh! view from the 3th hole green An enjoyable round and very surprisingly, I finished the course in 3 hrs even though it is a walking course. There were some very difficult holes with competition tee boxes placed strategically (I played from sand tee - one set forward). It will be interesting to see how the pros play here as it is very undulating and the fairway and green are all the same grass. Look forward to coming back n play again. | |

| great photos! i wonder how the shuttles from the clubhouse-driving range-first tee will work during the US Open though. Washington National looks great too - purple/yellow are the university of Washington colors cheng-tsung pan of the Huskies is actually competing at Merion this week! | |
