How Long Before You Get Your "Swing"?

1yr and thousands of balls later, i am still searching for the answer.

Sometimes i get it, only to lose it the next week

I think it's like a forever think if not tiger will not change coach time to time

My mentor always say connect with the ball, not hitting the ball. ball is in the way of the swing, and not swing to hit the ball.

When you finally get your "Swing", you will want to further "improve" it. Such is man's insatiable desire and thus the neverending journey to find the "swing". Then comes the time when age, injury, etc catches up with you and your "swing" will invariably change. I have learnt to accept that my swing is work in progress and will not stay the same over time. I therefore focus more on enjoying my golf. If I get to complete 18 holes, I am a happy man. If the score is good, it is a bonus.

That the beauty of this game, you never get to master it, just continue working on your swing. In every game, no matter what swing you got, one just needs to make the most of it and enjoy. For me as long as you got a swing that does not hurt your body (or anybody else) and gets the ball where you want it to be (eventually in the hole), then you got your swing!

Everytime you get your swing, you will start thinking there is somewhere you can improve to get better results... then it starts all over again

beginner here
my swing changes all the time.
at the range, sometimes after half a basket i get an 'ok' swing, and my balls start flying.
sometimes it doesnt.

Picked up golf in 1991 ~ still looking for the swing.....

1st tried golf abt 10yrs back.....

just an update, one day after I started this thread, went back to the range and I lost the "swing"
I thought I had it. Trying to find it back since then... aiyohyoooooo

Bro, nothing new lah
I always found my swing around the last 10 to 20 balls @ range only to lose it on course.
Somethime I found my swing on the 17th hole but......game finishing soon

Other time, I thought I found it at home after practicing in front of mirror.....only to discover I dun have that feel when at range

Familiar anyone?

same here, one day I was doing so-called everything right...another day, everything just screwed!...golf is never ending surprises.....

Sometimes it depends on whether you are in the "Zone" on that day of play. You will never be playing with the same form day in day out.

ha ha i think i just found my lost fren again yest night in front of the mirror
will bring him to range this sat and see whether he is willing to follow me

Sometimes when i look at the mirror, i thought it looks like a PGA pro, looks like one. But when it comes to the range or worst, the course i find out that it was actually a mickey mouse golfer

haha...hihi..newbie here....just started learning golf for ard 6mths...every week I see my pro, my swing will be diff....just last Fri 1st hr, he was super excited that I hit well with my wedge and e balls were flying straight to the green at e range....but e 2nd hr, my balls were dropping anywhere except straight....can't even fly 25m...lol.....guess have to be patient

Because your wedges is steel shaft? True Temper?
