Golfing at Spring City Golf & Lake Resort - Mountain Course

Took the 3am China Eastern Flight direct to Kunming on 7 April. Return airfare was SGD709.96 and could have been lower if I had more time to search the net. Arrived at the airport at 7am and the car from Spring City Golf & Lake Resort (SCG&LR) was waiting to take me on a 45 mins journey to the resort. The fare charged by the resort was RMB200. Had time to practise at the range after bfast whilst waiting for other members in our group to arrive in the afternoon. The grass at the range was beautiful, just like hitting out to an actual fairway/green. The weather was cold in the early morning, abt 12deg C. As afternoon approached, the temperature went up to abt 21deg C but the winds had picked up and we were advised to play the less wind swept Mountain Course. The course was in great condition and eventhough the greens had been hollowthined just over a week ago, we still enjoyed the round immensely. Lovely to play in such nice & cool weather! Green fee was RMB1,080 (member's guest rate for W/E; RMB900 for W/D). We were allocated 1 buggy and 1 young female caddy each (luxury!). The service was impeccable and we tipped them the going rate of RMB100 each. Had time to enjoy the sunset view before adjourning to a sumptous dinner prepared by the Malaysian chef based at the resort. Next review - Lake Course!
