| Good day bros, Mi jus realised my 52deg wedge is 1/2inch longer than my PW and 57deg wedge. Can anyone advise if there is a standard or recommended length??? As i heard some friends telling me same length or shorter than PW... Would appreciate any recommendations.. Cheers | |

| I use 1/4 inch gap in between PW, GW, SW, LW. PW being the longest. I use a 4deg loft gaps. Approximately i get 10m yardage gaps
Just go to any wedge big brand website and they post the stock length of their wedges. That is for standaed american golfer height. Your fitter shud know whats best for u. The goal is to have consistent yardage gap from your wedges.

| different manufacturers have different lengths for their clubs so this can happen.
If you buy a full set eg. 5 - Gw, the Gap / approach wedge is usually the same length as the Pw.
I personally prefer it to be 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter than my Pw. the reason is that the shorter the club, the easier it is to control. So it's a bit strange if your Gw is 'harder' to control than your Pw.
but at the end of the day, if it works, it works =)

| Thanks bro Pushslice & bro Scottycollector for your inputs... The 52deg wedge of mine stood out like the middle finger on my hands...damn.. And it wasn't stock shaft... As I had put in a DG spinner... Guess the "installer" conveniently installed the shaft... For the past few weeks I keep wondering why my PW gotten shorter... Or I had grown taller Lor... Well seems like have to trim down my 52deg wedge shaft.. Thanks for confirming my blurness... Wahahaha... | |
