We know that at least malaysians in sg can choose to withdraw their cpf when they leave sg. For singaporeans its not even a choice to be made.
Hate to comment but have you not heard of Temasek or GSIC? This is part of their Profit and Loss and overall they made billions per year after offsetting losses like this $600 million. Like Chien mentioned, there is no outright "pau chiak" (sure win) in investment. You win some you lose some. If got pau chiak, I will go and borrow from Ah Long San and do investment. I think Chien has said it clear and said it well for a simple layman like most of us. All i hear u is echoing from within. Titu, if an argument is platable , i am always ready to reconsider.. But what u are doing is no better than shit stirring. No offense but i think its abt time u voice out something original for change Hellloooo....*echo..echo*....anybody homeeeeee????? Well you can offer your views, so can I. Here, there, I kept hearing govt bashing. Come on, be fair. Tell them about the billions they made to offset this loss. Then I would have kept my opinion to myself. Milo tin can when empty makes very loud noise, just in case you don't know. Enough said. Last word from me. I stir Milo for your info. I don't stir shit. They stinks I think... Or do they?? Again its personal perception, I think titu

| sometimes a loss can be recorded as a profit......
Singapore Airlines buys its 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic for $1.65 billion SGD, sells it for $360 million, and books a profit of $322 million SGD.
so thats another 1.3 Billion dollar loss and conveniently SIA takes the hit instead of the very able investment arm of Singapore call the GIC....maybe thats why they keep changing the CPF withdrawal date......but the time most people get the $$ they will have to convert all to medisave.....

| alot of facebook post and shares contribute mainly to unhappiness and dissatisfaction with the govt. it is refreshing to hear thing from pro govt folks, who are less vocal. guess people make more noise when they are unhappy as compared to the silent majority that voted for the same govt. | |

| as far as our state of affairs, i think we have some alternate voices but they are far from being able to govern. those who are capable of governing are not hearing the people enough while the opposition faces a tough task of representing the people without having the influence to change the protocol of governance.....
so the best way is to find a better place to live in....and so far, no such paradise is found yet.
so what to do....LL | |

| Hi fellow Grians, Many ppl will have various views on this topic. Most of us will not have all the information to form a complete picture. Therefore it would lead to disagreements and quarrels. Personally I think this is not the appropriate forum for this topic. So I hope that we will come back to golf. For those who wish to continue, maybe you can organise a game and discuss further over a meal if u manage to get that far. Weather so good, Golf la! | |
