You can tell your wife you actually want to do car grooming, since golf course is around, might as well play......

As my younger brother has one existing car groom shop at central area since 1997 and I am helping him to expand and also convenient for all existing and future customer although Singapore is small. I think of customer usually park their car for few hours during golf session might as well do grooming for their car instead of wasting their precious time to do it somewhere else. Cheers

To be honest, price & service is important, if it is good, I will defininity plan my car grooming during golfing. I normally do it in Malaysia golf course.

There's one at NSRCC for the last 8 years or more.. Their business has been good from the sight of it, especially during the festive periods like CNY...

If I may just share my experience with the company... it's always the labour issue, either not enough workers to cope with the volume, or the quality of work done by the less experienced guy.. But most of the time, basic car wash and vacuum services are ok..

On the feasibility of setting up in golf clubs, I know not many clubs would like to provide such services.. NSRCC Changi is out cos they already have one there, OCC one didn't last long.. Don't think SICC, TMCC, Sentosa GC would be open to it...

Thanks in advance sir. I am talking to few good review suppliers from USA supplying the materials and thinking of getting the materials from them. Also running around talking to golf club for approval of this proposal of car grooming centre. Cheers

Thanks for your advise. I know the problems which a car groom centre might face. I am in service line since after my NS and running an interior design & reno company now. Think service is not an issue as long as you control the workers and not let the workers control you. Quality control is also very important for any trade of business and I will definitely take note of that issue. Labour wise, I might do a training program as well as future opportunity for them to own a car groom centre together with the company if they put in effort and grow with the company. Make sure they are well trained on my car before they can touch customers car. Cheers and good luck to me... Hahaha

Hi guys, really appreciate your input and suggestion. If the country club approve my proposal, few important things that I will do for the car groom centre:

SERVICE: All staff will wear a t-shirt with my mobile number on the back of it saying "CUSTOMER CARE HOTLINE 9xxx 8xx8". Do our best to serve or attend to our customer's needs.

QUALITY: Material used must be tested on my car before using it on customer's car. Every single details to follow the job sheet or standard set by us. All staff must be trained before they can touch the paint works.

SECURITY: Grooming centre will have at least 2 cctv to monitor the progress and process of the job. Also to make sure staff do not damage customer's car or lost of things in customer's car.

PRICE: To be competitive and reasonable.

Please feel free to suggest anything that you are concern during your car grooming session and I will implement it. Thank you guys... Cheers...

if u setting up one at nsrcc kranji and can accept car at 6.45am on sat and turn it around (including polishing) before 9, u will have at least one regular customer if svc is good

Hi guys, just want to share a good news with all of you out there. A country club at Jurong area are interested on the proposal I made to them and really hope everything goes well. The other 2 location located at Central and East side still waiting for their good news. Hope the other 2 location can go and it will be perfect. Cheers guys

Have a system that requires the car owner to exchange his car key for a unique identity token. This token is to be surrendered by owner when he returns later to collect his car key. This is to avoid someone impersonating as the owner to claim the key and steal the car (as happened in JB car wash!)
