give.....???? which putt to give???

Lets assume that its a frenly small small stake game....

Question: What do you consider a putt that you can assume give?

My 2cents: Of coz must ask flight mate....but for most down hill putt, definitely a no-no to assume that it will be a give even it is putter length....

For me, I don't care. If the person asks if they can have a "gimme," I say go-ahead. That person should know whether he or she can take the putt. If he/she believes he/she can, then so be it. I'm not fussed. Like I said, if you cheat... you are the ultimate loser.*

I think all in the flight should have an agreement before teeing off at the 1st hole. Once consensus is reached, then play on. To prevent a buildup of stress, & to speed up play (especially in SG courses, or over weekends), i say 'gimme' if putter length or less. However, if on weekdays, or when not so many flights chasing you, then i say hole out - whether putter length, or 1 inch. This is good for training to prevent the 'yips'. For those who will frequently play charity events, tournaments, or with customers or clients, better to play by the rules & with proper etiquette.

normally we will give for putter length... be it a big betting game..we still stick to this rule..

* putter length means w/o touching the putter grip...

only your opponent can say " take' to you..

you cannot declare for ur own self la. unless there's not betting la..and it is totally bf/gf game la..

He was aiming wrong. Too focused on other things...
