| Many times, I had dished out ' Good shot'...as compliment to my flt mates. But really I don know if he or she really likes it....or maybe that is just my perception coz I am only Seasoned Beginner stage.
When its appropriate?
Ball cross red tee?
Ball land on green?
Miss the hole by an inch?

| If it's from tee-off, drive is reasonably long and on fairway. Can say so.
Putt in from more than 10 feet, can also say.

| i have learnt not to say good putt until the ball falls right into the hole and stay inside the hole... i cant rmbr how many times we were all very sure the ball will roll into the hole but rite when we shout good putt! the ball will either breakaway at the last min-second, lip out or go in and bounce out...

| I normally say so after tee off judging from the ball flight and also sounds of the ball off the driver | |

| " IN THE HOLEEEE!!!!!!!" ..always though these ppl are idiots when they shout it out on TV but find myself shouting it in a game when my flightmate's very long putt looks like its going in.
however when the ball does go in, everybody gets more excited, rather then the rather muted "yay!" or "nice putt" when a very long putt goes in without any pre-comments.
LOL looks like i have a lot to learn about golf etiquette.

We all kept really quiet when and68low sunk that tough birdie. we were all secretly pissed that we were shelling out money for that nice putt. | |
