| Just an update on the Golf Buddy. Tested today at Daiman !8.
+ Very small and handy + Easy to read or listen + Accurate reading + Can track all your shots - distance
- There was a tracking error when the next T was too near to the previous green. - Need to charge battery
If compared to the Bushnell or other hand held manual device. This small GPS system is much better. 1. It's my convient (handy) and just as accurate. 2. You can track all your shorts distance.

| I bought one also during the Isetan sale and it's really convenience and accurate too. I compare it to my Laser Bushnell V2 and both are similar.
You can change it to meter or yards and different languages too..... the day I got it, I just fully charge it and went to the course and on it. Took about a min or two to located your course and then it's all set.
I clip onto my hat and the light weight doesn't even feel like I was having it there. Each full charge seem to last for two round 18 holes.

| Quite keen on getting this. Can the battery be changed if, for whatever reason, it spoils? | |

| For me, i'll prefer the golfbuddy voice Reason because u have the option to; 1)see display and / or set to mute 2)lazy to see, press button to hear it 3)convert to a watch n wear it where as caddie only can listen to the voice on distance nia but dan again, its up to individual lar | |

| Hi Titu
Read the review by Derek before. Both golfbuddy and iamcaddie are good.
Its really a tough choice. What I like about caddie is there is a local after sales office. Golfbuddy is the screen. Why is it so hard to make a choice =(

| After reading some of the feedbacks on GolfBuddy Voice here, I decided to get one to try, especially since it's been quite awhile since I spent some money on golf equipment and more so to curb the itchy hands syndrome. Bought it last Saturday, charged it for a few hours and first tested it at NSRCC Kranji on Sunday.
I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed and was expecting more from the GB Voice. I felt that readings were not too accurate and at times differed by up to 10m. The GPS was also confused by the course layout at Kranji and took readings based on the wrong hole on quite a few occassions. Due to not yet being familiar with the functions, I had problems setting the GB Voice back to the correct hole. Also, confusion was probably due to fairways being side by side and teeboxes near putting greens. Overall, it was still a useful reference for judging distances especially for shots within 100m and shots above 200m if deciding to layup.
Manage to try the GB Voice again yesterday at NSRCC Changi Army course. This time, I was fairly impressed with it. Hole reading was flawless and the GB Voice correctly recognised each hole when we were driving towards the tee-box. Readings to the green were also pretty spot on every time I required one and I did not find the need to find the sprinkler heads to get the distance to green. In my opinion, distance reading would have at the very most been 2-3m off what is "deemed" as accurate distance which was good enough for me. The only one time where I doubted the GB Voice reading, I ended up over clubbing, shooting pass the green into OB.
Usage was pretty easy, pretty much like what everyone said. Power it on, wait for GPS reading to confirm course, clipped it on my cap and press the button for reading. Voice was loud enough for me to hear and the unit was light enough not to distract me. Overall, I felt that readings taken by the GB voice is fairly accurate but that would be dependent on the quality of the maps loaded into it and perhaps other stuffs like weather conditions, signal interference, etc....
Hope my feedback helps.

| Hi all,
Reviving an old thread. I'm keen on the golfbuddy voice or voice+ Where could I get it locally with a reasonable price?
I like the display and voice option. Oh yes, the wristband too.
If any GRians selling it, do PM me, I don't mind buying it from you, as long as the price is right!
Thanks! | |

| Have you tried Transview? They do bring in Golfbuddy products.
I'm using the Golfbuddy WT3 GPS watch and I love it. It's a great device. Picked this one up off eBay.
