Just For Fun: How many putts will it take from tee to hole?

My golf buddies and I were having some chat while awaiting our turn to tee off.

Asked my bud; choose a par-4 hole and make a guess on number of putts it takes from tee to hole.
We gave our numbers, all totally out.
He has seen people betting on this and was shocked with the actual result as well.

Can tee it with putter? Some trick shot specialist can hit their putters as far as our drivers.

Wouldn't that damage the putter face as it is not designed for hitting like you do an iron? :shock:

I have seen someone hit GIR at NSRCC Par 3 with a putter, never seen it being done for a Par 4 though.

I would say for a flat downhill Par 4 using a steel-faced blade putter, double bogey would be awesome!

Cant even hit my driver 300 yards... Somemore with putter!!!

I think depending on whether you hit the ball with putter with a normal swing, or putt the ball as normal ... there will be some difference. Very Happy
