Key to below 30 putts

One year ago if you told me that I can go below 30 putts, I would have laugh it off.I practice my putting before games,work harder than my kakis on tempo for my strokes, read up on putting tips and bought equipment to help but I just couldn't break 35 let alone 30

But today all that changed when I finally managed to get a 29 strokes for 18 holes!
How was that possible ?Well can only attribute that to the magic wand tips that I got earlier this week from Eric.

Was in BFG on Monday to pick up my glove, chat up Eric on some putting pointers.
Even though there was lotsa customers around, he had no hesitation in asking me to bring in my putter to take a look.
Went through my stance, alignment and stroke pointed out my flaws and gave suggestions on how to correct them.
He then talked about the magic wand and how it works.
Decided to put the correction and pointers play today
And 29 putts was the result!

Now I hope I can maintain below 30

if you set up the same each time you make a putt and train your hand eye coordination, you will only get better. thats why we call it the ZPI. the originator of the ZPI is Nick Middleton and he is also the founder of ZEN Putting.

the magic wand is also your warm up for putting. and your judgment for distance control.

Some guys have all the talent.
But I have all the luck.

After Eric's putting class,
I had some betting the next day.
My old habit was so entrenched that I even had a sudden yip.
So bad that my kaki accused me of throwing strokes.
I missed at least 3 birdieable putts and had 2or3 3 putts.
But luckily I won my sixes, match and strokes play.

Don't be mistaken, Eric's lesson is good.
The putting philosophy make sense
Especially the alignments, elbow clearance and shorter putter.
I'm now in the transition stage.
Will be confident to breach the under 30 soon.

colin, your case is resistance which is subconcious. there is no need to change. just reprogram yourself to the new and you will be fine. there is no hybrid style. its either the old way or the new.

it all starts from the magic wand so it cannot get easier than that.

Doing all the reprogramming now, including cutting down my putter.

If I can break 30 putts and below, even if I die as a virgin I'll still be damn happy

renode....you should sign up when the next ZPI training program comes about.

SBH@colin, we r old already so resistance to change lah. "dead brain" takes a longer time to revive but we will get there, haha. Got to practise more...n happy golfing - henry.

Yes, all these talks on this ZPI training program is getting very interesting.. I'll visit the BFG website to see when to sign up

Eric, shorter putter makes very good sense.
1. It cut out all the arms slacks
2. It gives lesser margin of error

its not on the website but do look out for our announcement...there will be no ZPI next week as i have a few players to work with the Handa so the week after i hope.

Problem I am not accurate with my irons, have to use putts to save pars or bogeys.
