Hi guys

Been curious about this "high launch low spin" characteristic about clubs and shafts.

Shot carries far and doesn't kick up wards near the apex.

Ball go far.

But being a bit techie, I'd like to understand the technology that makes this possible.

Just read an article on the latest golf Asia, the usual get some fellas and whack a whole load of clubs. Except they posted their track man results.

A bit astonished that rbz tour had lowest back spin.

So wondering if any body out there has some views on technology that goes into this.

Thanks.

Happy monday

regardless of what characteristics, your swing will be the biggest factor in launch and spin. Thereafter its finding the right combination of shaft and clubhead which suits you.

To achieve "high launch and low spin" would require an upward hit with the driver with the appropriate dynamic loft and face angle.

I think spin is only a part of the story. A good fit also includes the launch angle and ball speed. A person's antidote could be another's poison. So better to churn out the numbers to take a look first.

Too low is spin without enough ball speed is also no good as the ball will not carry enough. Lots of discussion on this in the net. Linked just one below:

I'm not an expert on this. So others may be able to share more.

yup makes sense, thx.

quick question, what is dynamic loft?

is that loft at impact, compared to loft of club?

face angle means open or closed face?
