| Realized that it is easier to tee off a par 3 with iron when the ball is teed higher. Like 0.5cm off the ground. Any advice on what should be the best tee height for iron? | |

| Different brush different strokes.
Driver Tee length: Approximately the length of my middle finger Iron Tee length: Approximately 1/3rd length of the tip of my middle finger
No pun whatsoever intended. That's how I usually measure stuff on the golf course. I don't use a ruler.
Then again my fingers may be shorter or longer than yours, so you have to see roughly what fits and stay that way.

4 and below long irons 5 some say long some say mid(whatever) 6-7 irons I would consider mid irons 8 and above short irons And I usually tee it all the way down, feel that I'm going under the ball if its not.

| I think it also depends on how u hit your iron shots when ball on tee... like wat Sob had said, teeing too high will end up hitting the ball on the upper part of the clubface.
Think you should try to tee up different height and see what you are comfortable with..
eg, for me, I'm used to not teeing up with irons anymore so may feel weird now if I try to use a tee..

| the correct tee height is the one that gives you the most chance of consistently landing the ball on the green (or near to it).
Some will tee it low, some a bit higher, some almost like a wood
whichever height makes you happy AND gives you good results is the one you should use, it really does not matter if you are doing something different from everyone else ... as long as it works consistently for you

| I have no hard and fast rule about teeing it up.
Non driver about 1cm. Driver about 2 inches.
I think you should first understand the physics behind teeing it up.

| I usually tee up 1/8" to 1/4" depending on the condition of the tee box grass. Poresia tee box grass is a bit long, so it's 1/4" for me. | |

| As we are hitting down on irons, I think it's best just to tee it down as the ball just floats above the grass.
IMO, too many variances in height of the ball for irons would change our angle to attack, thus more inconsistencies.

| I think it is a preference and understanding of your own shot.
Usually, teeing higher will be safer, the chances of hitting the ball is higher.
As you get better and feel that you are hitting more accurately, you can always try teeing lower.

| I think it really depends on individual.. No standard height as long as comfortable and consistence with the shot. And make sure it's always ard that height when teeing off in future. Goes for all clubs, driver fw hybrid irons wedges... | |

Teeing the ball higher will get you more loft at the sacrifice of distance. I find teeing the ball lower allows you to get more compression on the ball
