Now that it has some problem got to wait longer and use the N95 with cracked display.
Please update if anyone has news about the iphone (good or bad).
Thank you very much

| SINGAPORE: SingTel has released the prices of the Apple iPhone 3GS, the newest iPhone model, which will be available from Friday.
The highest price has been set at S$678 for a 32GB model for those who subscribe to the new, cheaper 500MB iFlexi Lite plan at S$39 per month. Those who choose to subscribe to the 2GB iFlexi Plus plan at S$95 a month get a 16GB iPhone 3GS free.
Existing SingTel iPhone 3G users who have completed six months of their contract can upgrade to the new model by topping up S$600 to re-contract for another 24 months.
They can trade in their 8GB iPhone 3G and 16GB iPhone 3G to offset S$300 and S$400, respectively, of the cost of the new model. | |

| Topping up $600 is expensive. I'll wait, at least until Apple sorts out the preliminary issues (such as heating), before upgrading. | |

| Iphone users 3GS....... 12hrs queue...?????
-----------------
FIVE hours early was not early enough for one man anxious to be first to own the iPhone 3G at its launch here last year.
Despite his efforts he ended up second in line.
Disappointed, medical test subject recruiter Jackson Low turned up at 9am on Friday - almost 12 hours before sales of the speedier iPhone 3GS began to make sure he would be there ahead of the thousands of other eager iFans.
The 29-year-old got his wish, and became the first person to own an iPhone 3GS given to him by the Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) group chief executive Chua Sock Koong and SingTel Singapore chief executive Allen Lew here.
Those who want the iPhone can buy it from local distributor SingTel for prices of up to $678; they also need to sign up for a two-year contract.
Existing SingTel iPhone users like Mr Low can also pay an upgrade fee to get the new model.
Mr Low had no issues with paying the price, saying that it was only fair since he had already gotten a discounted handset last year and could not expect the same again this year "or else SingTel would probably go bust I guess."
Many iPhone 3G users had gone online to grouse about having to pay an upgrade fee, saying that SingTel should continue to give them discounted handsets to reward their loyalty.
If Apple launches a new iPhone model next year, Mr Low, who admits he is 'quite a fan' of the stylish handset, will get one regardless of how much it costs.
And yes, he will be there early again.
'Hopefully I will be first in line then as well'. | |

The phones are on the way to Spore. But pricing has yet to be sorted out... I will update again these few days once my frd ironed out the pricing and warranty issues... | |

| For IPhone users, the new 3Gs is really much faster than the old model. And somehow, I just feel that the display have improved too. | |

| Side Track: I read at Macrumours, that itouch is coming with 64g unit in Sep. Not sure if that is the true. Looks like Apple is going for the size, better now than later. | |

I test "drove" my friend's 3Gs and can't say that there's a huge jump in speed except in the browser where the loading of images etc is quicker. What makes me want to get the 3Gs is the capacity of the phone. My 16GB is reaching its max point already | |

No lah, I only got the normal Iphone which I paid only $8 for the 16GB. My bro got it and apparently, now it belongs to my sister-in-law. | |

| Hi all,
Spore has no more stock for iphone 3gs as of tdy, including singtel.
My frd has come back with pricing: SGD1700 for 32g, SGD1500 for 16g. 1 yr warranty provided by him. 1 for 1 exchange if problem persist. Order deadline by tmr 5pm.
PLs hurry cos he only take certain amt of order to avoid risk. His 1st batched has already been snapped up. PM me if you are interested.
Pls bear in mind that prices are fixed by my frd and non contractual. I'm just helping interested parties to get this hyped iphone. | |
