Titleist 913 driver - very good

Great day...

Started at 07.30 at Sentosa range, thanks to Tom at Titleist's invite to try out the 913 metals this morning before watching the BSO.

Gene, The new club fitter at Titleist Singapore tried me with a few options but thanks to his know-how and the launch monitor's stats it became obvious that the best set-up for me was the D2 with aldila phenom stiff shaft which I seemed to be hitting not only higher but also longer and straighter than my current Ping driver.

Fast forward 13hrs and I have bought the exact set-up from Vinc at Far East, hit it plenty of times at the range and totally vindicated the decision (in my mind a least!) to spend a lot more money today than I anticipated.

Oh, and I saw a lot of great golf at the BSO

How much is the 913 driver retailing for ?

I think RRP is $800?

GH sells it at 800. Sticker price

Got the chance to try it recently.. Really awesome driver.... The face is pretty hot.... The price tag lagi hotter... Lol...

It depends on the shaft, but you can look at 600+ for the cheaper shaft models

Thanks to Team Titleist, managed to take 3 swings with it but had to stop due to lightning. These 3 shots are enough to convince me this is the next driver for me. Of coz it may be due to the Tour AD BB shaft.

Not to mention if you want Tour BB it'll come out to be abt $1200.

Saw it at Isetan @ Shaw at $640. Guess you can try there and bring it to a custom fitter, may be cheaper than the $1,200 suggested above.

I'm quite sure its the 913 not the 912 but I can't confirm... Pls let me know if I'm wrong...

That's like asking what flavors of ice cream are selling today.

I'm sure there are various flavors, each yummy for some while not so yummy for others. But the only way to find out would be to go down to the ice cream parlour to see for yourself

they are still not available yet over here bro technospaz. and sometimes, only certain shaft options can be found here. just like the 910s, only fujikura, project x and aldila shafts are available, the diamanas are not available.

Totally agree. So, best to go check with Acushnet or GH or whichever store which sells 'em

I haven't tried the 913 though I did see it at GH. The head looks like a classic Titleist driver. Looks good. Reviews are really positive though So, I hope you get it... then do a good review, k?

Haa.... Just invested in a new driver head.. will be a while before i contemplate another change lah... anyway, its always the man behind the equipment that's the critical variable... Haa....

I'm pretty certain GH has stock with Tour ADBB, Diamana Blue 62 and Black 82, and the Aldilla (what the series can't remember but it's one of those aldillas) - saw them all last Friday already. Dunno if sold off everything.

GH indo doesnt carry titleist. only topgolf and some other pro shops do have them
