Punggol Range

Thus far, i was told its in yards by Ping staff, Punggol coaches n Pro poh.
Recently they ve a contest, 'Hit the car'!
Car placement was moved to 125m where you re suppose to hit w five shots n each shot carry pts.
Then the 125 distance board was located right infrt of e car say +-9%!
This says it all n if nt, u try hittg yr PW. Usually 90-110m average dependg on individual n yr shot ll tell you liao.

I was told initially that it's in yards.

However, with the gradual up slope and condition of the ball there, it can be presumed that you are hitting the 125Y, 150Y and 200Y target areas as meters.

Thanks simoner. I asked one pro there, and he said he used this laser to check the 50 marker and it was in metres.

But I concur to your great analogy simoner.

hong gor if bro poh says in yards why car placement is at 125m? shdnt they say its at 125yards?

This is interesting. I'm a regular of Punggol range too. Hope this yard/metre debate gets settled once and for all.

Hmmm I think it's yard as it tends to be 10% shorter distance compare to I play on other range...my 20cents worth

My pitching wedge still gives a good 125m to the car. Not much diff in distance.

I can hit further at punggol compared to Bishan range... I know Bishan is in meters, just thought that punggol should be in yards.

Hope to see you too simoner. I'm usually there on weeknights from 7.40 to 9.00pm. Usually at the bottom left side of the range. Well, you can text me @ 93267565 when you are there next time.

just side track abit on Punggol Range, i noticed alot pple playing swinging practice and wearing slippers. Wow envy that they can swing so well even wearing slippers.

lol some can even do it barefoot!

I was actually trying some ping clubs and then another golfer came along to ask to try some ping driver. Ping Ty asked if he got golf shoes, he say no need and swing wearing slippers i was like wow.

Hi, just wanna say hello, I'm a beginner and practice at Punggol range too, usually play on weekday nights.
seems like this thread is not that active now.

This year just went Ponggol Range once,  cycle my road bike and sling my little golf
bag hit 90 balls pack up go home. Just refused to drive there.

by the way, anyone knows a mr tang who lives in punggol and used to play there? he taught me a lot when i just started last year, but didn't get his contact, and haven't seen him there for a long time.

I usually go there at 8+pm

So many sengkang players here, no wonder my bro hong went to occ to do secret training. Cannot let so many people see.

I'm also taking lessons there on Mondays 7pm. Usually range there on Tues & Fri evenings as well as Sunday late morning
