general distance a 1 hybrid golf club

Any advice from golf guru out there

will the distance be further than a 3 wood ??

Depends on a lot of factors but no, the 3 wood should be longer than hybrid.

Hi Colin, this might sound cliché but it really depends on the individual.

I have experimented with 2 hybrids in the bag and no 3 wd before.

Had a 16* Taylormade Rescue but fitted it with a 3 wood length shaft. It was good on tee shots, same dist as my 3wd length but was not so accurate with it off the fairway.

I then reshafted it with a V2 hybrid shaft and it worked great from the fairway. Very straight but the converse happened and it was not so ace off the tee. I had the hooks with it sometimes but distance didn't suffer too much despite the shorter shaft length.

End of the day, if its cheap, you can buy and have fun experimenting with different shaft options.

I ended up putting the 3wd back in the bag and practicing more with it.
