| limited quantities of XHot US models arrived last night, but they are destined for a quick pick up. short stint at the Den and then its out for some really hot action.
best enjoyed with a stiffer shaft thats designed to give a lasting impression.

| Read up on Minimalist Golfer from a golf website and trigger me to built a second set of golf clubs (currently using a full range of Titleist golf clubs 913,712 and Scotty). My budget find of the week make me wanna go range tmr!!! 1) Callaway Razr Hawk Tour - Bought @ $79 I would have to say that I'm impressed with this club. It may be a few model prior to the latest, it did perform very well for me. It has a deeper face than me 913D2 and I got a 10.5 degree (1 degree more than my 913) just to try something different. To my surprise, it is quite forgiving and the ball flight is high and floating. It might not be longer than my 913 but it is equally forgiving. Please note that this is not apple to apple comparison due to different specs. I'm gonna cut the shaft to 44 inch and will have another comparison between the two. It is worth to mention that the Adila RIP shaft that comes stock to this driver feels really not bad. Much better than the other stock shafts that I tried this year!!! 2) Callaway Octane Tour 18 degree Wood - Bought @ $59 This got to be the find of the year for me. I love the look at address of this FW. It is compact and look a bit open to me. Something like the 910 FW I used to own. I'm using the 913FD 15 degree now and this club complements my 3 wood very well. It is forgiving and the 70gram stock shaft is very smooth IMO. For $59 brand new, it can't be wrong. 3) PRGR Egg 6 & 9 Irons Haven hit these 2 babies yet. 4) Titleist Spin Milled Red - Bought @ $99 This is a non-conforming wedge and it really performs quite well for me. My feel around the greens improves although it is a bit clicky than the Japanese wedges that I'm used to... Cons... it really shred the balls when I open up the club face and give it a good whack... 5) Scotty Newport 2 | |
