Hi newbie rt,
Welcome!
Try to look beyond any single unhappy incident. Perhaps you can read other post with more interests such as the sharing post that sunny spent so much time typing.. Understand GR better and you will enjoy yr stay here much more. In case you miss it earlier, I paste it here below for you.
However, if you like to sell something on marketplace, hmmm I suggest a more sophisticated site for yr consideration.. eBay.

It had been a few years since GR was created. Not many people can remember what happened and many new comers do not know much about our history. This is a good opportunity to tell the story.
We exist because another of our favorite forum was shut down by the owner. I don't know about you but I felt lost for a while. I must have refreshed it at least 100 times each day during that period hoping for a miracle. Did I miss Toonshouse? For sure I did. Not because of the forum but because of the friends I had met.
During the early days of GR, we had some issues with the stability of the servers. The forum went offline for hours periodically. I actually have SOS phone calls from many of the old timers here during my client meetings to fix the forum. I do not blame them for interrupting menor calling my phone non-stop. To them it is an emergency, almost a life and death situation for these friends can't live without our humble forum. I feel likewise too. But what do I miss about the forum? Nothing to do with the wts threads. What I miss are some of the dunno wanna make you laugh or cry junk posts from our self proclaimed trolls like WMF, Muarchee, mervyntan and his numerous alter egos, the advices that our pros have given, the friends I have made, and the opportunity to debate. While I may disagree with some forumers and may engage in debates, I appreciate their support for the forum as well(else they won't be here right?) and those debates actually make things more interesting.
Today, as mentioned by tourswing, we have gained a lot more popularity and members. But honestly, we never care about the number. We are not here to create an advertisement board or to look for money making opportunity and hence these numbers doesn't matter. What matters to us is you, those who have come in, contribute and form a part of our community like what the great Duval said in his touching speech in the t-shirt thread. GR exists because of you.
For those who are here just to sell items, I would do what I have to do and tell them you are not welcome again and again if I have to. Good riddance and nobody will miss you. The people who we will miss if this forum is gone are the people who have come in and made an impact in the forum and our lives. To these people, I wish to thank you for all the support and may we work hard together to make this forum a better one.
I think I have said enough on this topic and we would not be removing the min post criteria. If there is a need, we may even increase it or add other criteria. Lets move on. thank you miss moon for the welcome. reading was what i was doing since joining this forum some months ago. selling was never my intention and will never be for on this forum.

For the rest, I guess we have heard enough from those who are passionate enough to voice out.

I think I have said enough on this topic and we would not be removing the min post criteria. If there is a need, we may even increase it or add other criteria. Lets move on. I read this thread with interest and particularly feel for this post. Great sharing. My thoughts are that people who joins this forum or any other forum, should take some time to read the threads and understand the on-goings better. To me, I think fellow members would be able to see through those who comes in to try to make a quick buck. Personally, I doubt I would want to buy from anyone whose nick I have not seen appear too much (like 20 posts). I guess someone who has accumulated a larger number of posts and well respected in the forum makes me a more confident buyer. To each his own I suppose. That said, this place is more of a privilege for us members and we should treat it with respect and not abuse it. Mods will definitely step in and remove/moderate undesirable threads, just as the virtual 'policemen' will sound out their opinions. Just my 2 cents worth. I am a newbie here and next step is to really get to know more people and learn something. Cheers!

BOSS!! I get a mention from you at 10pm at night. I do not know whether to cry or laugh. Ai yah. Talk so much for what? "Here is Lim Pei Eh Chu. Not Happy, get out." Anyway, point is rather simple. This is a forum that I look forward to socializing and sharing my golf and mostly non-golf related talks with. My Arch-Nemisis has already pretty defined that my golf pointers are pointless. The Market-place? It is a bonus and value-added place where we share/share our pre-loved goodies. Want to make money and cheat people? I think you get a better chance in FB. Wait till Management here also decide to adopt the "slinger-style" then you know. Items in Marketplace are not to be traded with cash or any equivalent means. Items can only be traded with other items. I.E., Used Callaway FIT Driver. Used for 10 rounds. Willing to trade for 10kg of Norwegian Salmon or 2kg of Wagyu with minimum 8/10 marbling. Hai Say. Idea, right? P.S.; Boss, pls start crying.

KK what does beign a "noob" and seasoned golfer who plays very well have to do with anything with regards to this forum and spamming as the thread title? There are many nice golfing noobs that I'm very happy to golf with and hang out with, than some "seasoned golfer" who play very well, but assh*les. I'm sure RT is a nice guy as you have vouched for la; just saying the level of golf proficiency/skill and the person's character are separate issues.

Just my 2 cents. I used to visit another golf forum. In the beginning, there were quite a lot of members who really discuss about the game. Then more members joined for the sake of selling their used equipment. The rules were very laxed n there was no enforcement.
Wts threads started to overwhelm the forum. And to top it all off, there was no pictures and price of the items.
A typical Wts post consisted of one liners, " rbz driver for sale. Call if interested. "
Would u want to be a member of such a forum?
Buddy,
I know which forum you are talking about. It is very painful to see what had happened to that forum. It had nothing now but only WTS threads
We are probably in that same forum. I still remain for a few passionate members there; relatively more active here as I figure this forum more lively, informative and connected.

Actually I have this feeling about you being a seller too bro as just on one day posts, I noticed you posted at least 7-8 emoticons with no dialogue of any kind. That gave rise to unwanted speculations which you can't blame TS or people like me. But welcome again from all of us if we were wrong. Try to be more pro active. Ask silly questions also no problem. That gave more reasons to join and participate. Hope I made some sense here as my England not so powderful. titu

| To those who feel offended by this post, I apologize.
It was intended to reach out to users who've signed up, rapidly clock posts to hit the 20th just so that they can use the marketplace but vanish thereafter. And, if you've been here long enough, you'd know that we have many of these folks who do so.
If you're not one of them, then don't take this one personally.
If you are, then please treat this forum with a bit more respect or head over to eBay like I said.
I do like the old Malay adage though, "siapa makan cili, dia rasa pedas."
