Thanks! | |

| You missed out.
RCC SICC TMCC Laguna Tanglin Exec course.
MBGC and OCC, if I remember correctly need you to go swing test. $10 for a month.
NSRCC need hcp but the Par 3 only need to go swing test but FOC JCC exec nothing required. So is Exec.
The rest not so sure. | |

| Played once in JCC exec on weekday and they asked me if I hv hcp, pc should be good enough.
If you intend to collect scorecards for submission for hcp test, exec courses scorecards do not count.
There is also greens fairways

| If you sign up for MBGC member, $20/yr, then no need Swing Test to play at MBGC. | |

Wah Sg clubs so lax? I remembered some years ago in some society tournament in SCC, one of the guy w/o hcp went to play after 2 holes the marshall approached him to ask for hcp/pc. When he cannot produced, the marshall did not allowed him to continue citing on insurance issue.

Called MBGC to check already. Still have to take swing test even if I sign up for the MBGC card. Sad... Need to go take PC first in this case to save the trouble of having to take swing test every month....

I don't think so. Played with my colleague(member of NSRCC) at kranji 2yrs back. I do not hcp, he tried to "smoke" my hcp is valid from some club. The counter staff entered my IC number and replied. "No record leh..." Later, she let me tee off. A marshal followed us to 1st tee to check on me. Luckily, my driver was "obedient" that day and launch straight to 150m. Else i think i will be barred...

| What I am trying hard to understand is if you guys are playing golf and like to play golf ... what is stopping you from getting a handicap?
Is it more cost related or are you afraid you will fail the test? Or you are struggling to get the 5 x 18 hole games?

+1 I think the word test put fear into people. In fact I played with a couple of guys here who they claim they got no hcp, but their game are definitely good enough to get the hcp. Maybe those who never took waiting for their game to reach single digit then they take

| It's important to ensure you have a valid insurance cover whether or not you have a handicap. Those with alibaba hcp, it would make more sense that you get a proper handicap and insurance coverage. | |

| i got alibaba and the 40 thieves hcp but most importantly is to ensure that I am properly insured. score is another issue where I want to compete to lower down by counting each and every stroke.
No point getting alibaba hcp or alimama hcp and then u dun enjoy the game can't launch.. or worst accidental slice hit someone else..
luckily I got some uncles who that time bring me to JB course to play and teach me the norms in course. What to do and What is strictly not to do etc.

| Insurance is covered... Got myself income golfer's insurance. Just that i am not playing regularly enough to get the 5x18 as there is a limited period between the 1st and 5th card. Anyway my last game was not a good number too. 115 at PV. I will need to go for more classes to tweak me. | |
