Just Moved - in need to play

Hey Guys,
just moved to Singapore ten days ago. Still need to get familiar with local golf courses. I saw that most of them are really expensive on weekends. I saw a few in malaysia which instead are really cheap and seem pretty nice and challenging too. The Kukup golf resort and the Tanjong Puteri golf resort. Do you know how to get there not having a private car?
also which of the Singapore courses are really worth trying?

Welcome Mate..

U can hire car (pickup n drop off both way) i used to use Mr Chong,

contact num 91570898 (sing num)

He used to charge $150SGD few years back... not sure how much he charges now.

Also forgot to mention, u can probably join weekly game with fallow GR members (usually these game are posted in "OVERSEA GAMES" section.

As long as you are willing to share costs, most members are happy to have you

Sg courses most of them are quite good. MBGC is one that u can easily access. Do you have a hcp? Much easier if you do to play locally, due to the amount of courses and golfers we had here.

I believe mr chong has several cars including van, yes 4ppl w bag should be okie as I have done it before. But I have not used him for while....

Thank you all for the warm welcome!!!! I am giving a shot at the MBGC tomorrow morning and see how it goes... I have 13,7 hcp. Let me know if ever arranging some games in tanjong puteri or Kukup on weekends since from monday I am starting new Job!!!!

Hi Andrea, you can also consider joining an informal Italian Association here to get to know where your countrymen hangout for golf. They might have some privileges too.
